I’ve had my fair share of Mediterranean concept food from London to Tel Aviv and Marseille to Naples. I’d love to give these guys 5 stars for effort but the food was extremely bland and tasteless. The octopus was nice but the hummus was probably the worst I have ever tasted. It was just overpriced watery chickpeas - I don’t like to leave reviews without providing the same feedback so when I mentioned this I got a long winded explanation as to why it doesn’t taste like hummus. Absolutely hidden gem in Geneva. Beautiful setting in Augustine, fabulously friendly owner & staff, and now the best: different level food quality & drinks. Food seems to be inspired from around the Mediterranean Sea - Moroccan couscous, middle Eastern kefta, Libanese Hummus….absolutely great. And Zaï Zaï also do their own Gin and Limoncello. Great! Maybe the best Mediterranean food in Geneva. I’ve eaten at expensive, trendy places in Les Eaux Vives - this place is better! Don’t let the seemingly modest cafe and out of the way location dissuade you. Highly recommend the squid & octopus. Plus, the freshly made apricot tart with basil sorbet.
