Alpenblick Bar — Restaurant in Kloten

Normally I wouldn’t sit down and eat anything at an airport but I was starving and this was the only place close to my gate (Terminal E). €8.50 for a tiny pretzel sandwich was ok. But €6.50 for a cup of orange juice that looked halfway drunk already… was NOT OK. When I asked for the orange juice I thought they were going to fill it up for for me at the spot as the menu indicated it was fresh, but the staff just picked up a cup that was sitting behind the counter (probably for several hours). Trust me I took the picture before I even touched the food or drink but it looks like someone sipped the orange...

Visited the place on 05 Nov '17 after a 12 hours lay-over due to flight cancellation to grab a coffee and some food for myself and my daughter prior to flying. When I couldn't hear what the service lady said, and asked if she could kindly repeat it, her answer was "you have problems hearing?", "so difficult to understand?" - what the f* - stop hiring and get rid of frustrated staff that is ruining the image of a generally well designed place with decent products! Shocking how low quality and zero service orientation...

I came here lunch because I was looking for hot food which I couldn’t really find at Zürich airport. They in fact did not have any hot food but they had a wide variety of sandwiches which I settled for a salami baguette. It was absolutely delicious and the drink was chilled. They have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages from dirt cheap to crazy expensive, you just need to figure out how much you’re willing to spend. The have two servers that run the check out counter too so it was a little slow but I had time...
