Visited on October 27, 2025, around 5:09 AM. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I stood at the counter for several minutes. There were no other customers, but the barista–a dark skinned female with braided hair and glasses– continued with her tasks and never helped me. I thought she was busy so I waited patiently for her. To my surprise, when a White customer came up after me, she immediately went to serve him instead.
When I mentioned I had been waiting, her response was loud and curt and dismissive, saying she “didn’t see” me, with irritation and no courtesy. Even if it was an honest mistake, the way it was handled felt disrespectful and unnecessary.
It was a disappointing way to end my visit to Switzerland. I hope Pret A Manger takes this as feedback to ensure all customers are treated with equal respect...

Many of their sandwiches and wraps do look very tasty. This time we chose the chicken-avocado-basil sandwich. We've had it several times before in London.
And we were delighted to find out that it tastes as good as we remembered. It's a very interesting mix of flavours. But a great mix. Nice and tender chicken, creamy avocado and crunchy basil. Really a great sandwich.
Ok, the prices are a bit higher. But that's expected here in Switzerland and in an airport. But it beats most airplane food by far and it's really a sandwich you will enjoy. We loved it. Surely we'll be back next time before flying to try out some...
Read moreSelling a plain 0.75 bottle of Evian stillwater for CHF 7.20 is scandalous, bordering criminal, even in Zürich. Taking advantage of people who need to buy water at the Airport after security checks is disgusting. I can understand everything else, you're free to buy it or not. But when you're flying at 5am, everything else is closed and you are blackmailed into paying such thieving prices to drink bottled water, it is indescribably frustrating. Shame...
