I purchased a latte at this place (this morning). The coffee cup was 65% foam - rough estimate. I do not mind paying for expensive coffee as long as it taste good and come with more coffee than foam. I am no barista, but I can tell when coffee is missing. The story would have ended here with a friendly and simple “Sir, the coffee machine needs to be adjust, we are sorry”. I would have understood, but the customer service was dismal (1 out 10). The cashier was unnecessarily rude and use a tone that I would use with a 5 years old when he or she does something wrong. I understand that lines can stress most people but if you are going to work as a cashier please be sure you understand the job’s demands.
Advice to the NZZ team, Adjust the coffee machine to the right ratio when making a latte (Ratio milk and coffee: 1/3 espresso: double shot, 2/3 steamed milk (170 – 225 ml), 1 cm foam.)
Please hire professional staff, it is ok not to be 100% all the time, but at least hire people that can keep a decent level of civility and friendliness while working as a cashier. as I said, it is ok if things are not working well, but at the least try not to talk down to customers it is not a great long...

Some of them also attended customers with a smile on their face, without showing the typical Swiss smirk. On the top of that, there's plenty of choice in their offer and the food/beverages are pretty good. The kind of place where I would recommend to stop by and have a nice German beer (the Erdinger never disappoints) AND (if you're rich) a little snack from their bakery. PS I had the mezzaluna just because I received a meal voucher as compensation due to my...
Read moreNot satisfied with the service. As there is no indication of the queue-ing direction (from left to right OR right to left), everyone swamped at the counter. My 14 y.o.daughter was standing there with a mineral bottle waiting to pay. And nope, no attention was giving to her. At the end of 4 min, I asked her to put it back and we walked away. Services at the airport is like at the train station, 80% of the customers are in a rush....
