Although we arrived, (unannounced,) at 14.45; wanting to miss the midday rush. We were welcomed warmly and allowed to choose our own table. Deciding on a basic Daily Special, the drinks arrived quickly closely followed by our starters. The Soup was hot and tasty. Also the main course arrived as soon as we were ready. The Penne was nicely Garlicked and the Spaghetti creamy and rich. Lashing of cheese on the side and a pepper mill. Although the décor was plain it was warm and friendly and I can imagine; inviting in the evening. Well done and we will come again for á-la-carte in the evening. Perhaps for your "Home made Gnocchi" or a Rösti speciality.

Went to Sternegg with my wife whilst on holiday in Lucerne. Dropped in one evening without a booking and was accommodated with no fuss. Excellent food and service. Some small things got mixed up due to my language difficulties, but that is how we learn. Would recommend Sternegg and would visit again.

Unsere Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Suppe als Vorspeise war hervorragend, dafür war das Cordon Bleu nichts besonderes - es gibt definitiv bessere in der Stadt. Die Preise sind sehr solide und die Karte bietet typische Schweizer Küche.
