Gandria ist, obwohl nur ca. 10 Autominuten von Lugano entfernt, weit weniger bekannt als der ebenfalls im Tessin liegende Ort Vico Morcote. Auch wenn die Prachtbauten in Gandria fehlen, haben die beiden Orte ansonsten einiges gemeinsam. So schmiegen sie sich an den zum Teil kräftig abfallenden Berghängen bis an die Ufer des Sees. Beide Orte wären zudem mit dem Schiff erreichbar. Direkt am Anleger in Gandria (gehört postalisch zu Lugano) befindet sich die La Bottega di Gandria. Den meisten wohl eine willkommene Station, um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken sind wir der Meinung, dass sich, sofern der Aufwand der Anreise überschaubar wäre, auch ein extra Besuch als lohnenswert erweisen könnte. Neben dem schönen Angebot kleiner Speisen, die zumeist von lokalen Produzenten stammen, wäre die Getränkeauswahl ansprechend. Der eigentliche Grund für den Besuch wäre trotzdem die direkte Lage am Luganer See, die bei entsprechendem Wetter eine schöne Zeit verspricht. What a wonderful spot! We stayed next door and it was amazing to stop in and get all the amazing charcuterie to snack on and we drank many wines from here!
