Siam-Thaï — Restaurant in Martigny

Very disappointed. They just moved from la Place Centrale to Rue Marc Morand and everything is downhill including the decor. My food was inedible, I paid, I explained to the waitress who has served me in the other place for years, and she did not give a fig that the rice was not fully cooked, each grain hard in the center! or that the hideous "saté sauce" was incredibly salty and tasted like canned brown gravy. And they now use a bizarre "robot" caddy to bring out the dishes, especially weird today because there were two servers and three tables in use. Why not have simply carried my one plate to me? Also the presentation used to be artful and appetizing, this was like prison food presentation on a pretty plate heaped so high with swill it was almost invisible. Today I was in the Twilight Zone. I will not return, very bad experience in what was once my favourite restaurant in Martigny. We had the lunch menu, which was relatively good value including a starter and a sizeable main. We found the food unnecessarily greasy (having ordered Crevette salad, chicken spring rolls & Beef friand/, like mini samosas).

In terms of service, we ordered immediately and our starters arrived fairly quickly (around 5 minutes). Between starters and main course we waited over half an hour, whilst others who arrived after us were served first.

Mauvais chinois qui veux faire du thaïlandais,

Commençons pas les entrées , tout est frit! je m’attendais à quand même avoir des raviolis vapeur que neni! Passons si vous le voulez bien aux plats. Le poulet croustillant n’est autre qu’un poulet aigre doux chinois. Le bœuf au curry jaune n’a ni goût ni dégoût c’est d’un fade absolu! Le bœuf chiclette baigne lamentablement dans un jus jaunâtre trouble, finalement assez indéfinissable. Le poulet au curry vert est passable mais sans plus. C’est le seul qui s’approche vaguement d’un véritable et savoureux plat thaï ….mais on cherche en vain le lait de coco!

Quand la serveuse nous a demandé si nous avions apprécié nos plats, et que nous lui avons répondu par la négative, cette dernière s’est juste empressée de prendre nos plats, tourner les talons et se réfugier en cuisine sans faire de cas de notre mécontentement.
