KALY Café is hands-down the best spot in Villars — I come here every single day. The staff is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be there. You walk in and instantly feel good vibes all around.
It’s a great place to work from. Fast Wi-Fi, chill atmosphere, and they won’t give you side-eye for being on your laptop too long — as long as you grab a drink, you’re more than welcome to hang, work, or have a meeting.
The coffee? Best in town. Right now they’re serving a Brazilian roast that’s smooth, rich, and clearly sourced with care. But it’s not just about the coffee — the food here is legit. I eat their bagels daily (no shame), and the breakfast menu is stacked with options: eggs, bacon, bowls… whatever you’re into.
They’ve got a full lineup of bowls too — crispy bowl, sushi bowl, poke bowl, you name it — and every one I’ve tried hits.
One thing that makes KALY stand out is the daily specials. There’s always something new on the board — one-off dishes that keep regulars like me curious.
And here’s a big one: they’ve got a full juice bar. Fresh juices, smoothies, milkshakes — the real deal. As far as I know, it’s the only place in Villars with that kind of selection.
Drinks? Massive selection of both hot and cold. And the cherry on top: they’re dog friendly.
This place is a gem. If you’re in Villars and you’re not coming here, you’re...
Read moreVisiting Kaly Cafe over their lifespan has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Their debut seemed promising, however, being charged 8 whole francs for a tiny hot chocolate seemed a little excessive. Although, I pushed my feelings aside and carried on visiting. Unfortunately, I quickly began being treated like a dog by the workers. They forced me to sit outside and sometimes I would approach the counter and they would carry on talking and ignore me until they were done. I understand some people have a lack of education in the hospitality business but these sort of acts are just common sense. They happily accept the business of school students but treat them like animals. It’s truly upsetting to see that foreigners in our beautiful Swiss country would treat others in such a poor way. I hope this review educates them a little more on manors. For the staff workers I can personally recommend EHL and the university of Glion as great...
Read moreOne of the worst cafés, really disrespectful to customers and I would not recommend to go in that place if they are as disrespectful but their food is still good
In response to your message earlier today:
Dear owner of kaly cafe, thank you for your response. I might have been wrong on the "no picnic" policy. But just because of other kids that came last week with drinks and were told not to do it, does not mean they were related to us. and to me this is the first time something like this has ever happened so please don't generalise and assume I was related to them. But still I do not appreciate you being rude to us and disrespectful and I have zero tolerence of someone being rude to me and my friends for no reason this is not the right way to treat your loyal customers. Thanks and...
