We booked two nights at this hotel for the express purpose of being near the Pontresina train station, which is all of two minutes at most from the front door, and it did not disappoint. The hotel is clean and modern, the front desk staff was cordial, and the breakfast offerings were appropriate. I do have one negative to offer – the bathroom towels were surprisingly thin for a hotel of this caliber. That said, I would not hesitate to stay there again.||||Two things to note: ||||If you travel by car, let them know ahead of time, and a parking space will be awaiting you by name when you arrive. Drive all the way around the hotel to the lower level behind. And if you stay at least two nights during the summer months, your visit includes an Engadin public transit pass which allows you to travel to many parts of the region at no additional cost. If you plan to take any trains, that can greatly add to the room rate’s value. ||||If you want to be in the center of Pontresina, the Station Hotel is not for you; it is about a 15-minute uphill walk to get there. But if a clean hotel with excellent access to the region’s public transportation network is important to you, this is an excellent option. We would unhestitatingly stay...
