오늘 점심, 인터라켄으로 향하던 중 무작정 Spiez에 내려봤습니다. 아무런 계획도 없이 들른 이 작은 도시에서 우연히 찾은 Ristorante Pizzeria Bellavista. 정말 뜻밖의 선물이었어요.

점심을 해결할 겸 가게 안으로 들어갔는데, 테라스에서 Thun 호수를 바라보며 식사할 수 있다는 점에 먼저 감탄했습니다. 저희는 디아볼라 피자와 봉골레 파스타를 주문했는데, 음식이 빠르게 나왔고 정말 맛있었습니다. 짜지도 않고 재료의 맛이 살아있는, 정갈한 이탈리안 맛.

특히 감동이었던 건 직원들의 친절함이었어요. 주문을 받을 때부터 짤막한 한국어 인사를 건네주시며 반겨주셨고, 저희가 한국인인 걸 알아차리자 자연스럽게 앞접시까지 챙겨주셨습니다. 스위스 여러 식당을 다녀봤지만, 이곳만큼 친절한 곳은 없었다고 말할 수 있어요.

화장실도 매우 깨끗하고, 식사하며 보는 풍경도 그림 같았어요. 이곳에서 받은 따뜻한 환대 덕분에, 스위스에 대한 인상이 한층 더 좋아졌습니다.

사실 이 도시를 방문할 계획은 없었지만, 마치 운명이 이끌듯 발길이 닿았고, 이 가게에서의 한 끼가 좋은 기억의 시작이 되었어요. 식사 후엔 호수 주변을 걷고 성에도 들러보며, Spiez라는 도시가 너무 마음에 들었고, 꼭 다시 오고 싶다는 생각이 들었습니다.

While on our way to Interlaken, we spontaneously decided to get off the train at Spiez with no set plans. It was around lunchtime, so we started looking for a place to eat—and that’s how we ended up at Ristorante Pizzeria Bellavista. And what a lovely surprise it was.

We sat on the terrace with a beautiful view overlooking Lake Thun, which instantly made the meal feel special. We ordered the Diavola pizza and Vongole pasta—both dishes were served quickly, and they were absolutely delicious. The flavors were clean, well-balanced, and authentic.

What truly made this experience unforgettable was the incredible kindness of the staff. From the moment we walked in, the server was warm and welcoming—and even greeted us with a few words in Korean, which was such a heartwarming gesture. They also brought us small plates without us even asking, possibly noticing we were Korean, which made us feel thoughtfully cared for.

Out of all the restaurants we’ve visited in Switzerland, this one had the kindest staff by far. The restroom was spotless, the scenery breathtaking, the food amazing, and the overall atmosphere made us feel right at home.

We didn’t plan to visit Spiez at all, but it honestly felt like fate brought us there to give us a special memory. After lunch, we strolled by the lake and even visited the nearby castle—falling completely in love with this charming town. Now, we can’t wait to...

I stopped by this restaurant while passing through Spiez, and it was amazing! The staff were super friendly, and the location by the lake had the most breathtaking views. As for the food—hands down the best pizza and pasta I’ve ever had. I loved it so much even ordered a second portion.

I had my dog with me, and they were so welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I even forgot my camera there, and they kept it safe until I came back the next day. I couldn’t resist getting their tomato seafood pasta as takeaway, even though I’d already eaten. Honestly, best pasta ever! I’m heading to Italy tomorrow, but I’m not sure even Italy can top...

A lovely experience at Bella Vista in Spiez! You can feel the heart behind this place—it’s a true family-run gem, all working together to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious, with that authentic Italian homemade touch that really makes a difference. Great quality for the price, and you can tell they genuinely care about their guests—checking in to make sure everything is perfect. Bonus points for their language skills—they speak English, German, Italian, and more, which makes everyone feel right at home. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!
