We didn't find the instructions not to take photos on the official website ahead of time. Read moreI give this castle 5 stars due to the incredible location and scenery, the reconstruction of medieval life within the tower rooms and the original decor of some of the later period rooms. Fascinating in particular is the contemporary graffiti of knights at a tournament in one of the tower rooms. It doesn't have the scale of a major castle and isn't majorly impressive from outside but once you've made your way up through all the well presented rooms displaying many interesting artefacts and pieces of art, and are at the top of the tower looking over thunersee towards the Alps, you realise how worthwhile and good value (10fr) the visit was.
