Militärgarten Thun — Restaurant in Thun

I, and my 7 guests, ate dinner at the Militärgarten on July 30. Food was not too bad. There were 3 ladies serving, and out of the 3, only one was helpful (thus the two stars and not only one). Of the other two, one more or less did her job, and the other was downright unfriendly. Food was not too bad, and the portions were large for the main courses. Extremely friendly people and really nice staff. The portions are large and the burgers are good. They have good beer and the atmosphere is nice, reminding me of a old inn, everything is made of wood and the music they played was American country which was a plesant thing to hear inside the heart of a city in Switzerland. They have free parking outside and if the parking spaces there are full it's easy to find another spot nearby. It's also conveniently placed! Ich waren zum Mittagessen dort, es hat uns niemand begrüsst sondern einfach in einen Nebenraum wo tonnenweise Kartons standen gebracht.

Es gab keine Menu Karte noch eine Auswahl! Es hatte nur Kalbsschnitzel oder Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten. Für Vegetarier wie mich gabs nichts, die Service-Dame sagte mir ich soll das Schnitzel weglassen und die Pommes und das Gemüse essen… schlussendlich tat ich das, weil keine andere Möglichkeit gab. Als am Schluss die Rechnung für die paar Kartoffelsticks und das fade Beigemüse kam, fiel ich aus allen Wolken, die Dame verrechnete mir CHF 40.- für diese Beilagen und zuckte nicht einmal mit der Wimper! Eine bodenlose Unverschämtheit! Ich werde nie mehr in dieses Restaurant gehen, da es weder authentisch noch ansprechend ist. Ausserdem stinken meine Kleider extrem stark nach Zigarettenrauch und Hygiene kenne diese Betreiber...
