Restaurant Pizzeria La Perla — Restaurant in Thun

Very very bad experience and this is the first time I am complaining and reviewing online. Bad service by a waitress who is very disrespectful because she doesn't know how to speak English so when we said we didn't speak German she just turned around without excusing herself and just sent a waitress who can speak English. This would've been fine if she at least excused herself and say "I'll get a new waitress for you" or try, but no, she just turned her back while we were trying to order.

We were also scammed to pay for tap water for 3fr per glass (6fr for two glasses of water not in a bottle) that we ordered. They put "mineral" on the bill but it was served on glass so it was supposed to be tap water as our order. I asked them about it because I said tap water should not cost that much let alone cost at all as it is normally free in Switzerland. It was not on the menu nor were we told that we were getting charged for tap water. Would've appreciated if this was explained to us when we were ordering. This is very shameful if this is how tourists (or in my case I am Swiss but visiting Thun) are treated. Management should...

This restaurant is right on the Aare river, with spectacular views. The service was friendly, attentive and helpful. All of the servers we interacted with spoke English. There is an expansive menu with over 7 pages of choices. Unfortunately, the menu did not indicate common allergens like dairy. Prices were slightly elevated, but not unexpected for such a great location. There is also plenty of seating indoors. Five stars for service. Five stars for view and atmosphere. Absolutely the worst place to go for food and drinks in the city, the service I received the other day was disgraceful. The chef de service was our waitress and could not have been more inappropriate from dress standards to speaking to us as a customer. Every moment we spent there we were wishing to leave. The food was average and although we spoke with the waitress about the quality and the fact that we did not eat all of it because of the poor quality we were not refunded anything.

It's a shame because the location is very nice, you can sit right next to river which is very peaceful. However it is not worth it with this place, there are plenty of over places with a view and good food...
