Restaurant Rathaus — Restaurant in Thun

So I had quite the bad experience here with a VERY rude waiter. With a friendly smile, I asked for a table and he pointed at one that was at the back of the outside area of the restaurant (near the trash) and I jokingly said “Nein” and I was about to say, I’d really appreciate a nicer table when he abruptly put his hand up and out and said a very aggressive “BYE”. Of course, I walked away but I was VERY upset.

Please try not to ruin peoples’ experience, specially when it’s the first time they visit a city and this will leave a nasty impression of you, the management of the restaurant and the people of the city. It doesn’t matter how nice your food may be, if your hospitality is lacking. Just some friendly advice from a foreign stranger. :)

We chose this pizza restaurant because of its location next to the lake and it’s tranquility. The manager would not allow us to sit outside. he insisted we sit inside due to the “rain” but allowed others to sit outside. We ordered soft drinks, they were flat and not in glass bottle like other guests. The pizza was flavourless and the base was not as soft as it should be. I chose a margarita as all the other options had fish or meat. There was no basil or oregano etc. I had seen other peoples salad and decided not to order it as it looked so basic. We visted the restaurant during our tour in Wangen.Horrible restaurant .We have been cheated..The salad was made of 2 small pieces of tomato some lettuce and a piece of cuckber We asked for an olive oil for the salad and got an empty bottle. We askes to have another one and we never got it..This cost 13.5 Frank's. They charged 1 liter of tap water for 3 Frank' s. The chicken was the smallest that was found in all swiss .My husband got a schnitzel that was small with a lot of potatoes.We payed 85 Frank's for nothing. I wonder if these places are not under the tourist office...
