Ribs Steakhouse — Restaurant in Thun

I was looking for a place to have a dinner in an outdoor place in a great weather! This was the only restaurant that still had a table available with a short notice reservation. We asked if Big G chicken is grilled and the waiter said she will have to ask… fair! We asked if the Chicken Buffalo is chicken wings or nuggets and she said “it’s 5 pieces of nuggets.. definitely not wings”… we waited, and waited, and ….. Surprise!!!! The food is here .. the Big G wasn’t really grilled and smelled like boiled and lightly grilled and the Buffalo chicken … well, are definitely Chicken wings and she made it large without even asking so the difference in price was 13 CHF more and it isn’t anywhere near the usual Buffalo spicy!! I thought for a second this lady must have a problem understanding English so I felt like it’s better to let her know of what happened and I told her what you brought is actually chicken wings and BOMMMM she shocked me insisting that it is NOT CHICKEN WINGS … I paid and left the place because if I stayed a minute longer, it would have ended completely differently… bottom line, I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL BASED ON MY...

Had big hopes on a great dinner together with friends at this restaurant. It became abundantly clear when we showed up after having ordered a table that we were mostly not welcome by the staff member by the name of Melinda who openly despised our arrival at the site.

When we were finally seated at the table, a less than enjoyable conversation with said staff member who haphazardly took our orders.

Quite long service time ensued, with several of the dishes not being served until repeatedly making the staff aware that several people in our group had not been served even after most of our group was finished with the meal.

Getting the attention of the staff workers was not a very easy task as it seemed they were more occupied by slapping each others buttocks, than actually serving the guests.

Overall a quite saddening experience. Not recommended - try...

Great establishment in Thun!

Our table ordered the ribs (after all the restaurant is called Ribs) and we were happy with the food - fall off the bone ribs which was done really well, you can choose your sauce, a side and an extra sauce. Portions are big, well sufficient for 1 pax for the 450g option! There’s chicken, beef and fish options if pork is not your favorite.

We ordered a salad and the beef tartare to share. Salad was fresh and the dressing done well, so was the beef tartare.

Good variety of desserts, you’re sure to find something to your liking :)

Lastly, service was good. Yes, our waiter came round the table when she could, the wait for food was decent. And when we left, the restaurant manager came to say bye.
