I AM the husband whom Tatiana Smirnova is discussing in her review. Your aggressive response to her is both childish and more importantly a LIE. I was the one who CLEARLY informed the chef that we would MOST likely NOT make it until 10pm because of the predicted length of the concert ... I said we HOPE to come closer to 930 but that its very UNLIKELY... his response was to say 'just call when you get out and that we would start the food order faster that way... he NEVER said the kitchen closes at 930 -- that was NOT at all made clear to me otherwise I would NEVER have bothered to make this RESERVATION we could have eaten at Les Moulins which has both amazing food and SERVICE and stays OPEN appropriately for this type of festival! and YES we spoke about RESERVING a table so yet another LIE being posted here to other potential customers. You are correct that my wife did not call immediately after the concert while our 10 year old son waited for an autograph -- she RAN up the hill from the Eglise to start our order in person and you treated her just horribly. IF there was some confusion between us regarding exact timing your treatment of her is DISGUSTING and you should be ashamed of your behavior and the ridiculous policy speak you write of here:
'We take pride in our hospitality, flexibility, and clarity of communication. In this case, our team acted professionally and courteously at every step, and we cannot accept being publicly misrepresented.'
What I find most shocking about this incident is that we have eaten here in the past (after 930pm by the way) and had a decent meal and good service. We come here ever year for the Verbier festival, our family and our numerous friends will never eat at your establishment again. We are FRIENDS of VERBIER I will make sure that the festival organizers (including the director) know exactly how you treat their patrons and lets see if you continue to have a food contract with them? You have just lost alot of business I hope it was worth it, when literally all you had to do was apologize and treat a woman with some...
Read moreThank you to the manager for his Kindness and warmth. While we heard the food is tasty, for those who were welcomed inside, we discovered the managers does not honor réservation agreements, AND blames the customer for it... Clearly knowing we are staying nearby as well. Eating great meals regularly in Switzerland and around the world, it's been a while since we came across this level of poor service. POST extremely courteous REPLY: - We thank you for the time you took to write this long reply instead of making me and my family feel welcomed at your facility. I arrived at 21:46 (which is the end of your "accuracy of account"), not 21:47 - but it is true, you ignored my for a minute before the first time you started to blame me and my family and making me stand there and listen to your very rude explanations. Which makes it completely unimportant at this point what happened prior to this and who was responsible for the misunderstandings. Just so that the public (and the owner is aware) - the reservation WAS made, including for a CHILD - and DESPITE discussing and agreeing that the kitchen would wait for us closer to 22:00 p.m. NO apology was voiced for the situation, and not even a drink was offered at the bar while the situation was being resolved. I wasn't even offered a seat. ALL it would have taken, is a nice phrase and "sorry for any misunderstanding". Being RUDE to the CUTSOMERS for ANY situation (and there are ALWAYS TWO sides - is ALWAYS the wrong choice). My account was rather accurate. And my husband will write a more complete/accurate description of events if this is important to you, but please do not write lies on his behalf. Clearly you as the management do NOT take pride in your hospitality... as the readers will be able to appreciate. I feel sorry for the wait staff, they seemed nice actually. Between Bangkok to New York, this is sadly for me the worst review I have ever left so far. Again, All it would have taken is a POLITE excuse. Thank you again for your warm welcome and kind response. Best of luck and kind regards...
Read moreSave your money and time. We went there at 3pm on a Saturday to get a drink and even though it wasn’t crowded by any means we were turned away and told we needed a reservation. A reservation to apres ski??? Absurd. It’s not even like we wanted a table either. Honestly though even though we didn’t stay, the vibes aren’t even that great and doesn’t seem memorable. If you want to experience real apres ski that is unpretentious and authentic and FUN go to Hennu Stall in Zermatt or literally anywhere in Zermatt. Vibes and skiing is way better. Verbier overall unfortunately felt very fake and inauthentic and this place is no exception....
