Al Mouchtar - Badenerstrasse — Restaurant in Zurich

Amazingly delicious food, great portions, great value / pricing. Great service and above all - incredibly kind, generous and humble owners / chefs -- amazing hospitality that I have never experienced.

We stopped by here near closing time on a rainy day in Zurich.

There was no parking around so we asked the owner / chef where could we park ( mind you we could not speak the local language, so used translation ) -- they were so kind that they moved their own cars up front and allowed us to park in their private parking.

The chef cooked up a wonderful meal, allowed us ample time to finish. We wanted to pack our left overs but the chef insisted that he would make extra sandwiches instead of packing left overs.

We didn't have umbrellas - so the owner went up and gifted us an umbrella so that we would not have an issue with the weather.

Truly best service, hospitality in Zurich - such kindness you rarely experience. Thank you & may your restaurant have lots...

I recently tried this Lebanese take-away spot, and I was thoroughly impressed. The shawarma wrap was perfectly seasoned and juicy, bursting with flavor in every bite. The sujuc wrap was another standout, offering a rich, savory experience that had just the right amount of spice. For lunch, I decided to venture out and try the liver wrap, and I’m so glad I did! It was cooked beautifully, tender with a hint of that signature Lebanese spice blend. The food quality, generous portions, and authentic flavors have won me over—I’ll definitely be coming...

I don’t know how this place got to a 4,5 stars average. I ordered a halloumi shawarma, the guy was so disoriented, giving me only half the salad toppings, only so that I realise when I get the sandwich that I got a chicken one. When I ask for a new one, he made it, asking me for every single topping if I wanted it, it seemed like he did not understand what it was I wanted (a mere halloumi shawarma, with no meat). The shawarma itself had not much taste, nothing in it is homemade, at least it was only 10chf. And, who puts fries in...
