Aroma — Restaurant in Zurich

I came here for lunch on Monday rather late. I came again the following Wednesday with my family for lunch at 12:30. The service was fast and careful.

The first time, I had one of the menu of the day, beef stroganoff with rice and green vegetables (looks like a mixed of finely chopped broccolis and spinach), it was excellent. Before this, there a small bouillon and a green salad, which makes a perfect meal. And all this for less than 25 CHF.

The second time I also had the menu of the day with some veal recipe, with pasta and one piece of broccoli. It was excellent, like grandma's dish. There was a vegetable soup beforehand, which I really liked too. Again the green salad - the sauce is pretty good. I also had a dessert this time, a chocolate mousse, it was really good, not too light, not to heavy, just like it should be.

I had an expresso doppio after that each time, it wasn't the best I've had in my life - I can't really describe what was missing or too much - but okay.

I would normally give 4 stars for this, but I think the quality to price menu - at least for the menu of the day - is worth a bump to 5 stars.

However later I reevaluated this rating to 3 because of the following behavior: we wanted to come with a couple of friends and we both have a young baby. Unfortunately this restaurant doesn't have any baby chairs. So I told them we would come with two stroller. The guy refused and said one would be okay or maybe we could bring a baby chair. Wait... What?! Customers are supposed to bring their baby chair? Anyway I cancelled the reservation and suggested them to invest in a baby chair, as...

We came here afer an evening of ice skating & were greeted with a delicious Zucchetti Cheese Soup. We continued with a Mixed Salad and secondi piati with a tasty & tender Tagliata di Manzo con Rucola Cherry e Parmigiano and Mushroom Risotto. We received an additional pepper sauce for the meat. We accompanied our dinner with a dark and fruity wine (red wine) recommended the owner as well as a special homemade apperitivo and cocktails. Ich hatte das Vergnügen, mit meiner Frau im Restaurant A Roma in Zürich zu essen, und es war einfach fantastisch! Von dem Moment an, als wir eintrafen, wurden wir von Florim Meha, unserem Gastgeber, herzlich empfangen. Er hat einfach einen super Job gemacht! Mit seinem charmanten Auftreten und seiner unglaublichen Gastfreundschaft hat er dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns sofort wohlfühlen.

Florim hat uns nicht nur die Speisekarte erklärt, sondern auch seine persönlichen Empfehlungen gegeben, die sich als absolut goldrichtig herausstellten. Es ist selten, einen Gastgeber zu treffen, der so viel Leidenschaft für das, was er tut, hat – man merkt sofort, dass er die Gäste und das Restaurant liebt!

Das Ambiente des A Roma ist einladend und gemütlich – der perfekte Ort für einen romantischen Abend. Und jetzt zum Essen: Es war einfach mega!

Meine Frau entschied sich für die Spiedini di Gamberi, und die Riesencrevetten waren einfach himmlisch! Die Zitronen-Kräuter-Marinade hat den Geschmack perfekt unterstrichen und die Meeresfrüchte waren frisch und saftig.

Ich wählte das Mistkratzerli alla Griglia, und ich kann nur sagen, dass es knusprig und voller mediterraner Aromen war. Die Kräutermarinade hat dem Gericht einen wunderbaren Geschmack verliehen. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss!

Das Essen war wirklich auf den Punkt, und ich kann A Roma nur wärmstens empfehlen, wenn du in Zürich bist! Ich freue mich schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch und darauf, weitere köstliche Gerichte auszuprobieren. Vielen Dank an Florim und das gesamte Team für einen...
