Bellucci Ristorante & Bar — Restaurant in Zurich

I invited a group of business colleagues to the Bellucci restaurant on June 05, 2023 to celebrate the arrival of a new manager. I was surprised by how busy the place was - given the relatively unattractive location in downtown Zurich Oerlikon: I realized that the restaurant is frequented by tourist groups who spend their night in one of the nearby hotels, but also by neighbors from the surrounding blocks.

The service was friendly, competent, and speedy. The young lady serving us was speaking English only, but she told us right from the start and apologized for it. We did not have extraordinary drinks, but the Moretti beer came from the tap and was cold and refreshing. Most of us ordered pizza - it took some time to prepare them, but that was due to the fact they prepared them fresh, and another group had just ordered before us. The pizzas were tasty, crispy, enormously large, and so rich most of us felt that we could have done with less.

Some of us still ordered dessert, and we found the crème brulée less special because we expected the caramel couverture to be warm or hot, but the soufflé al pistacchio was excellent.

I would like to finish my review by outlining that only when leaving I realised I had been here before 15 years ago, and I really admired how management did a great job refurbishing the place so it became stylish and cozy at the same time.

I probably would not go here for a night out with my family or a romantic dinner à deux, for this the place is too busy and the streets outside are too noisy, but I will return with business guests to enjoy great food...

Bellucci Ristorante & Bar is a cute little local Italian restaurant in the Oerlikon neighborhood just north of Zurich, Switzerland city center.

Gigi, my server, was so friendly and offered suggestions on their best choices.

I started off with a Brazilian cocktail - a caipirinha on the patio deck. It was a warm day - 80 degrees Fahrenheit, 26 degrees Celsius and they did not have their air conditioning on in the restaurant. That is primarily why I chose the patio.

The arugula salad with cherry tomatoes was so fresh with a hint of citrus along with their Italian dressing.

The veal saltimbocca was delicious, though it needed some salt and pepper. It came with pasta and tomato sauce. It was the perfect complement to the veal main dish.

I finished with a nice sambuca.

It was a great meal, great service, in a nice setting on their patio. I would definitely come back. I will be giving this...

I went there yesterday to have a pizza with friends. To be fair the place was pretty full, but that does not justify a bad service. If you have 100 seats you must be equipped to offer a good service when all these seats are full. We waited 20 minutes to get a menu. We were 4, we got 3 menus. The fourth never reached our table. The waitress suggested that to be served quickly we should have asked for pizzas, as they were out of capacity to prepare other dishes from the menu. We arrived at 5:50, our pizzas reached the table at 6:50. Unfortunately, pizzas were also burned in many areas, and mine had a hole...
