Excellent vegetarian choice if you are not sure what you really want to eat, but looking for some light and/or healthy choice and some intense flatulence later. Buffet-style self-service and you pay by weight. Take-away is cheaper than dining in. Wines, juices and quite pricey iced tea creations are also available. You are allowed to take an extra piece of bread and (unlike in many Swiss restaurants) complimentary drinking water is available next to the stairway to the basement. I personally prefer to sit downstairs or outside, because it gets crowded and noisy, and your clothes will be quite smelly if you sit in the main area. What I don't really understand is that there are several cashiers and you have to select a random queue instead of having only one queue (like for example at airport check-in), always directing you to the next available cashier. It's entirely vegetarian/vegan buffet. You pay by weight, but I feel it comes slightly cheaper than other restaurants. The quality however is a better by a good amount compared to average. A wide variety is offered and it's changing on a frequent basis. You can choose between cold, warm dishes and desserts. Pro tip: fill your plate with anything like fillers, such as potatoes and rice. That way you get most value and you can go for bigger variety. Also: manga lassie is the best!!! Staff explicitly friendly, open and alternative. I see this commonly on vegetarian places as they have rather young staff and consider it an entirely positive thing. Interior is nice, comfy and practical.

For the first time I have visited a Tibits and it was a great experience. I knew this food chain since many years but never took the chance to sit in one of their outlets. This time a friend of mine suggested it and I gave it a chance. The food was very delicious, I honestly did not expect it to be that good. The atmosphere was also pleasant, to our luck we had a table for two. The rest of the restaurant was packed. The staff was very friendly and helpful with explaining how it works at Tibits.
