We were there as part of a team event and had a reservation accordingly. The concept is quite interesting, where people of different ages and occasions meet in a central location. It is very often extremely crowded, so I would recommend making a reservation if you are several people. They make it easy by letting the guests order and get their own food and drinks at the counter, which is clear by the fact that it is a huge place and therefore impossible to serve the guests at the table. Considering the number of guests, the waiting time is quite long. The food was honestly just okay. The staff was always friendly, although you could feel a bit of stress among them, again due to the large number of guests. I would come back for a drink, whether on a lazy sunny afternoon or after work, under the great lighting that creates a cozy atmosphere.

That place has so much changed, since i have been there earlier ago. We celebrated a birthday and ordered a vegetable plate for 120 swiss francs. It's summer and there is such a big choice of fresh vegetables you can eat uncooked, like stick celery, radish, beetroot, all colors of tomatos and much more. The most we got on the plate was cauliflower in different colores, and broccoli, small cucumber and little cheese served with bread. I was very disappointed, in high summer time i expect more diversity of vegetables! We took 3 boxes of colorful cauliflowers home to cook a soup the next day! And we had a small plate of penne with tomato sauce, 3 pieces of mozarella bowles, no fresh green for topping and we payed 19 swiss francs. These prices are just overpaid. I can't recommend the place although it is highly recommended in the new lonley planet city guide of zurich.

This is my go to spot when guests come in to Zürich to visit for the first time. It’s just a short walk from Bahnhof Hardbrücke which is just an ultra quick train ride from Zürich HB. It’s always a good time and the crowd and the atmosphere is always so fun and lively. Frau Gerolds Garten has a great vibe that locals and visitors alike find fun and uniquely charming. The service staff are always so friendly and most if not everyone working there speaks English. It’s great in the warm sun of summer especially but is perfectly enjoyable in those colder months as well. A good variety of food and alcoholic and nonalcoholic options ensure that everyone will find something to satisfy their cravings. Hands down one of my favorite places to go have a bite to eat and a couple drinks. We love Frau Gerold’s Garten!

Came here to give my visiting girlfriend a fondue experience. Very cute atmosphere, very kind and patient service, and excellent fondue. A tip - the menu says the minimum fondue order size is 2 portions at ~30CHF per portion, but we asked and got just one portion. This was the best decision of the day because as people who don't have much dairy in our diets (much less vats of melted cheese), 1 portion (200g?) was still plenty. We barely finished it. Bread cubes are unlimited and free. I would have ticked off one star because the waitress forgot our drinks and fruits for dipping into the fondue, but I think it turned out for the better because there was enough food between this and a starter to keep us full, and it made the bill reasonable (cheap by Swiss standards).

Open-air space in an old industrial area with containers. There are several food truck-like stands for food and drinks, many many options and outdoor seats and shared tables, both ground level and upstairs. Decoration was very nice, especially with the lights at night. Service was terribly slow, we had to wait more than 1 h for our food to be ready, and only after complaining a couple of times, although at least they gave the money back for the trouble. Food was ok, not the best I have had and scarce in quantity. Overall a good experience, especially at night, but be aware, it's usually super crowded and it's hard to find a spot if you come with a large party.
