I booked a table from 7pm for the hotpot for 6. The food was very fresh and tasty and I would definitely recommend it. We wanted to book the karaoke room and we were told it was in the basement and its communal/not private - meaning that anyone who is downstairs can use it. In terms of fees, that the karaoke machine is free to use until 9pm, in which it costs 50 CHF per table, and then at 10pm its 100CHF per table. There was another group who arrived from 6pm and they were not keen on sharing the machine. After some discussion they said that its Chinese karaoke, which only has a small number of English songs - in fact this restaurant is known as the only place with Chinese karaoke in Zurich. Secondly they said they booked for exclusive use, which is very different to what the restaurant said to me when I wanted to book it for exclusive use. The problem could have escalated - e.g. I certainly wasn't going to be paying for other people to use the machine(if they decided to use the machine for most of the night) Luckily they left around 8.40pm, so finally we use the machine for 1 hour (with the extra fee) and it was private use by that point. There was a big selection of English songs so there was some misinformation from various people. Other than the confusion with the karaoke, the food was nice, and the waitress was pleasant so overall...

Most Chinese restaurants in town serve the same set of dishes adapted to the western palate. This restaurant is different! The venue may appear modest but the food is unapologetically authentic and covers dishes from different provinces, including some you will rarely see outside of China. Their signature dish however is a rich, savory Hotpot with two broths and loads of meat and veggies. First of all, I pass by this restaurant almost EVERY DAY. I found it to be shady at first and did not think about going there to eat. My friend asked me to go eat Hot Pot with her here and I was at first hesitant. When we got there, we ordered the Hot Pot and it was AMAZING! ;) There was a good amount of beef, pork, seafood, and vegetables. I may have over eaten a bit. HAHA. But it was well worth it and the cost of it was reasonable. I will definitely be coming back here...
