We recently hosted a grand corporate party for 60 of our team members from TechMahindra at the renowned Golden India Restaurant, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The entire evening, from start to finish, showcased a flawless blend of delectable cuisine, refreshing drinks, lively music, and impeccable service.
The culinary expertise of Rony, Naveed and his team of chefs left us thoroughly impressed. The buffet featured an extensive array of authentic Indian dishes that catered to all palates. From aromatic starters to the main course offerings, each dish was a masterpiece of taste and presentation. The chefs even went the extra mile by to all dietary preferences. Our guests raved about the quality and richness of flavors that stayed true to the essence of Indian cuisine.
The bartending team showcased creativity by concocting drinks that were both vibrant and perfectly balanced which added an exotic twist to our celebration.
Golden India’s ambiance was perfect for an evening of celebration. The restaurant’s spacious interior easily accommodated our party of 60 and still provided ample room for a lively dance floor. The DJ kept the energy high with a mix of Bollywood hits, international chart-toppers, and nostalgic classics that had everyone on their feet. The dance floor was packed throughout the night, with team members enjoying every beat.
A key highlight of the evening was the service. From the moment we arrived, the staff demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism and warmth. They ensured every guest was well-attended and maintained seamless coordination to keep the food and drinks flowing. The staff’s attention to detail and readiness to assist truly set the standard for...
Read moreHad dinner with a friend at this restaurant, delicious food, we ordered vegetarian. as soon as food arrived our table, its fragrance and presentation instantly made us realize we were up for a treat… rich aromas of spices and herbs, their delicate balance nourished our tummies and souls. Garlic naan was excellent too. On a cold evening, hot cup of masala chai was perfect. We ended our meal with gulabjamun.
Mr. Ronie- the restaurant manager was attentive, warm and empathetic, paying attention to our dining experience and providing his own insights when requested. He was friendly and genuinely concerned about needs of all diners.
We loved the decor, it is soothing, inviting, allowing us to connect with India in our own unique ways. For example a portrait of a dabba wala on a bicycle spoke million words to me as I am from Mumbai. The background music was another subtle positive element that took us on a sensory journey without compromising our ability to engage in a meaningful conversation with friends/family.
The restaurant is conveniently located, easily accessible by public transport.
All in all, we will be definitely dining here regularly and bringing in friends and family. This is a perfect Indian restaurant where the stomachs and souls are comforted with delicious authentic food and excellent hospitality which is characteristic of Indian way of...
Read moreThis was a new restaurant in Zurich. And we decided to try it out. Sorry, will not be coming here again :)
Food was pretty bland even after asking for a spicy version. Chicken was just boiled and put in gravy. Same with paneer which was pretty much tasteless as well. Vegetable biryani was also below average. Crazy high prices don't justify the taste, even for Zurich standards (e.g. prawn/jheenga pakora tasted okay, but 6 prawns for ~18 chf!!??). I found much better restaurants in Zurich near Oerlikon.
Service was good. The person serving there was nice/friendly and was checking if we liked the food and tried to fix...
