McDonald's — Restaurant in Zurich

Review about 2 McDeliveries (Saturday, Monday) and 1 in store visit (Friday late evening):

Food: Nothing to complain about

Service: Both McDeliveries: Items were wrong/missing. The 1st one had the wrong products (McFlurry M&Ms instead of Strawberry, Ice Tea instead of orange juice and no Coca-Cola glass), the 2nd one was much better but still missing a Coca-Cola glass. I called the store and they promised that if I come by, I would get them, when showing the receipts. So, I went there, and they were very kind and indeed gave me the glasses and even offered me something for free. I hope they focus on improving this aspect, it seems to be a persistent issue. That said, I will never order McDelivery again, as the external services that do this service (McDonalds only prepares the meals, it is delivered by other companies like Smood, Uber Eats, etc.) are just way too expensive. Ordering a pizza is much cheaper food/price ratio wise. My instore order was 5/5. Staff was friendly and took care of the store.

Atmosphere: Store was very clean, looks great and spacious. The only thing I did not like was the parked bikes in front of the main door, partially blocking it, but when I left it was no longer there. Seems to be a hotspot for the local young descendants of migrants .............

Food-wise it was tasty and warm. The restaurant has a nice size, should be comfortable to sit, eat and enjoy, unfortunately, it was so dirty that I didn't appreciate my experience, as I could have. Some friendly staff and they require a Covid certificate, which is nice. The food took a while, considering that it is Mc Donald's, but there were some people in line and they probably had takeaway on top. Still, I consider that it is unforgiving that the restaurant was so dirty. I have been to McDonald's, where the personal clean between clients, or as much as possible, from seats to tables and screens. I've seen none of it here, and it made me uncomfortable. This is specifically a review for delivery. My wife and I were blown away by the quality of McDonald's in Zurich. We've tried it in lots of countries but the bar has officially been raised. We tried as much of the menu as we could and everything was fantastic. The food was sealed and still plenty warm when we received it so that's saying something in itself. The fries were crispy and salted perfectly, all the sauces were excellent, the McCrispy was far and away our favorite thing, and the apple pie was divine. There's nowhere in the US that you'll find a McDonald's apple pie as crispy as this. We had it multiple times and we were just so impressed. Our hat's off to Switzerland for having the best...
