Edit 16.6.2024: Huston we have a problem. My last 3 times at the place from mid April were completely changing my previous impressions. All started with some options in the menu suddenly “finito” (over), and 2 weeks later the menu was drastically reduced to few options; waiting time increased, together with some mistakes in the orders and finally also the quality of food and pizza look different (even the starting salad is now average, and served with simple bread instead of the usual slice of pizza dough). Something is definitely changed… even Giampiero, the outspoken and friendly guy who was time keeping of the restaurant and the full kitchen crew is disappeared… what a pity 😞
Edit 6.7.2023: And here will go… I can now recommend an amazing linguine all’astice, recently added to menu. Wow.
Edit 21.06.2023: Already rated another time, and remains my favorite pizzeria in Zurich. To be further noted that the daily lunch menu, changing daily, is offering some good and cheaper options. Ideal at lunch.
Original comment: The place to go for a great pizza napoletana in Zurich. You can get the warm atmosphere of a cozy place, either sitting inside or in the tables outside. Needing a bit of inspiring suggestions? Just ask Gianpiero, tell him your favorite ingredients and then tell him… “fai tu!” (He will make you a recommendation or if you trust, let him chose for you and come with a surprise). You will be hopefully impressed like I am any time I go there (once or twice per week). My recommended pizza? Either the fried calzone or a lighter pizza bianca (no tomato) with burrata, mortadella and pistachio (NB: ask the pistachio to be added on top at the table… like Stefano’s...

First of all, let's talk about the pizza. NA081's pies are simply amazing. The crust is crispy and chewy, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. Whether you prefer classic Margherita or something a little more adventurous, like the Diavola with spicy salami and chili, you won't be disappointed.

Read moreBeen there to continue my quest on the best pizza Napoletana in Zürich. Despite being above average, this pizza place is not in the podium of my personal ranking.
I went for the benchmark: a simple pizza Napoli. The ingredients quality was ok but the dough was a bit disappointing, definitely too thick in the middle and not airy crust as it should be. We also got a pizza Fiocco, the consistence of the mashed potatoes was a bit to dense and we were definitively expecting more cream.
The service has been ok, we got a reservation and we have been promptly served by Italian speaking waiters.
The place is nothing fancy, still good for a gathering with friends or family. They also have outside tables but unfortunately they are also very close to the road.
Would I go back? Maybe. If very hungry and roaming...
