Masal Dosa — Restaurant in Zurich

THIS IS THE TASTE OF INDIA!

• We searched for a good indian place to have a meal in Zurich, and compared to other places, this place was outstanding.

• We decided to go to this restaurant for dinner and had Ghee Roast Masala Dosa, Parota with Veg curry, Podi Dosa, Chicken Biryani, Mango Lassi and Filter Coffee.

• They served our food very quickly and warmly greeted us when we entered the place.

• The Sambhar, White Chutney and Red chutney were shockingly amazing for an Indian restaurant in a foreign country with meager access to south indian ingredients (When I meant shockingly amazing, I meant that it tasted like homemade Indian food).

• Dosa was very crispy.

• Parota and kurma were extraordinary.

• Podi Dosa has a classic Indian Podi which revived my love for podi.

• Chicken Biryani was provided with a bowl of Raita and Chicken curry along with a boiled egg served on top of the biryani

• Mango Lassi was good.

• Filter coffee was incredible, Probably the best for an Indian restaurant outside India. You won't get this kind of filter coffee anywhere in Switzerland for what I know.

1. Mrs. Uma ( Owner ) was very kind and enthusiastic.
2. Mr. Sukhmeet Singh ( Waiter ) was also very kind and already brought us good hopes for this place before recieving our meals

OVERALL :-

• This place is a must see for both Non-Indians and Indians, bringing a taste of cuisine of India for non Indians and bringing a bite of home for the Indians.

I would definitely come back to this place, It is a MUST...

My dining experience at Restaurant Masal Dosa in Zurich was truly exceptional! The atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in.

But what truly stole the show was the mouthwatering Chettinad Mutton curry. The dish was a perfect blend of spices, offering an authentic taste that reminded me of the flavors from back home. It had just the right amount of spiciness to tantalize my taste buds, leaving me craving for more.

The service was attentive and friendly, which added to the overall positive experience. The staff made sure I had everything I needed and provided helpful suggestions when it came to choosing other dishes.

If you're a fan of authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine, Restaurant Masal Dosa in Zurich is a must-visit. Their Chettinad Mutton curry is an absolute delight, and the inviting atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a memorable dining experience. The best South Indian food I have ever had during my 20 day Euro trip covering Paris, Normandy, Salzburg, Hallstatt, Munich, Black Forest, Lucerne and Milan. The place is run by Mrs Uma and her her husband. It’s squeaky clean with simple menu but amazing taste. We had pidi dosa, parotta with veg curry, chicken biryani and ghee roast dosa (twice). These were finger licking delicious. The sambar and chutney varieties were simply superb. To top it off, the filter coffee and mango lassi were even better. The experience of gaming home cooked food so far from home was simply amazing. The staff especially Mr Sukhmeet Singh was hospitality personified, emboldening the saying ‘Athithi Devo Bhava’ with his infectious smile and pleasant attitude. This is a must visit place for all Indians while visiting Zurich and would recommend to all others also to try original authentic South Indian delicacies.
