My guide brought me to this place for sightseeing to show me one of the oldest buildings inside Old Damascus. I didn't know what to expect before walking in but the moment I saw the courtyard, I would say I fell in love with this place. I just had to admire and walk around and see how beautiful this place was. I told my guide maybe we could come back again at night to have dinner here. We returned at night and the mood was totally different. It looks so charming at night with the lights i couldn't just stop looking around. I hoped the food was good and my guide recommended me to try the signature dish which was the Jabri House Specialty which is actually chicken cutlet with some creamy sauce. We grew suspicious when we were the only customers but the ambiance convinced us to stay. We were excited about the hot soup unfortunately the only good about it was that it was hot - felt like a pre made. The salad was average but good size portion and has olives. The Mexican chicken was surprisingly Chinese star fried on a hot plate. The Jabari house specialty was on sizzling hot plate but the excitement fizzled with the first bite. Overall the food can be finished if you are quite hungry and we really...
