Visited the Costco in Chiayi, and it was such a fun and eye-opening experience. While Costco is a familiar sight from back home in Canada, this branch had a lot of items unique to Taiwan that you just can’t find elsewhere. From local snacks and beverages to household items and fresh produce that highlight the flavors and culture of Taiwan, it felt like a blend of the familiar and the exotic.
One thing we loved was the selection of Taiwanese snacks—things like pineapple cakes, oolong tea, and a variety of dried fruits that are perfect to bring home or just enjoy while traveling. The food court even had some local specialties, adding a bit of a twist to the usual Costco food court menu we know and love.
Beyond the unique Taiwanese products, the store itself is well-organized, and it was easy to find what we were looking for, despite the fact that some items were unfamiliar to us. It’s a great stop for anyone visiting the area, especially if you’re looking to bring home some uniquely Taiwanese treats or just stock up on essentials.
Overall, if you’re used to Costco back in Canada, this branch will still feel familiar, but with an exciting variety of products that really reflect Taiwan’s local flavors and culture. Definitely worth a visit if...

This Costco is a one story shopping floor. I like this one because I can find the things that I want. The two story Costco stores confuses me because I can’t find anything.
Overall, this is a good story with plenty of parking during weekdays. The return policy is kind of weird, but that’s Costco and Taiwan. if you want price adjustments on products you will need to bring the...
