Oyster House — Restaurant in Chiayi

The restaurant is already crowded by 6pm on a Sunday. We did not call in advance for a reservation but we're lucky to have an empty table. Ordered our dishes outside where the fresh seafood are. They have a wide variety of seafood from shells fish to wide caught fish near the Japan sea. Some fresh fish selection can be sashimi. Quality of food is good. Fish is indeed very fresh. Worth paying slightly higher for seafood as it's fresh. The other stated dishes on their menu is comparable to other restaurants. All items were served in succession promptly...

Delicious and fresh seafood options, as well as other selections. A great place to get together with friends. The service was efficient (maybe a bit fast in order to finish the service before the closing time). Parking is not so convenient, even for a motorcycle. Of the food we were served, I loved the fresh sashimi, crab, ribs, and other various seafood the best. The hot pots or should were not so great and the dessert options...

Very busy restaurant, customers coming non-stop. Should be a very well known restaurant at chiayi. I'm from Singapore. My in-laws friend invited us there for dinner. The food is amazing, even my kids told me the food here tastes so much better than a 5 star restaurant. I lost count on our orders. Estimate 14 or 15 dishes.
