燈燈庵 Tou Tou An — Restaurant in Da'an District

First time dine in here on a Sunday evening, Tou Tou An’s authentic/creative Japanese cuisines really amaze me.

Been to many restaurants served with set menu, mostly decorate each course with colors and fancy side dishes, yet can’t really stands out the main dish, or sometimes messing up the definition of creativity. Tou Tou An avoided both of above, they did a great job balancing the taste of main and side dishes. Each course is delightful (we asked for low sodium, and we loved it!) and tickles taste buds. The portion is medium, I am 80% full after 9 courses plus 1 dessert on the house.

The worst of worst restaurant in my life. The freshness of the ingredients is low, and all the food seems to have been cooked a long time ago. One bite, you'll feel a lot more than a dried chicken breast. And there's nothing special about recipes. The soup from the starter tasted like instant soup. Maybe it's a lower level of cooking than the 7-Eleven convenience store. And unlike the quiet Japanese-style interior designed by the restaurant, the level of guests is low and very noisy. And the attitude of the clerks is also quite rude and their faces are full of annoyance. Make reservations here hard to eat the worst dinner, and don't have indigestion and unpleasant memories! You'd better head for the night market. : )

호텔라운지 레스토랑처럼 높은 가격의 레스토랑이지만, ⛔️음식은 형편 없었고, 서버의 태도는 무례했습니다. 이 식당에서 나는 내 소중한 시간을 빼앗겼어요.

화려한 SNS용 사진 촬영 식사를 원하신다면 가세요. 하지만, 저처럼 정말 씨푸드와 음식을 사랑하는 사람이라면, 절대 높은 별점을 줄 수 없는 식당입니다.

모든 음식은 미리 조리되어 있어 말라비틀어졌고, 사시미의 신선도는 낮았으며, 조리법은 세븐일레븐 편의점 조리식품 수준의 특별하지 않은 맛이었습니다. 정말 “맛” 을 추구하고 사랑하는 사람이라면 절대 이곳을 좋아할 수 없어요. (거의 모든 음식을 남겼고, 와인도 반병 이상을 버린채 우리는 식당을 떠났어요! ) ———————————————————- 모든 음식들을 미리 조리해둔 것 같았습니다. 특히 장어구이는 미리 조리된 상태에서 장시간 손님을 기다린탓에 말라비틀어져.. 겉은 질겼고, 속은 닭가슴살보다도 더 퍽퍽하다 못해 목이 메였습니다.

신선도가 최악입니다. 이곳은 가이세키 레스토랑이자, 해산물 전문 레스토랑입니다. 그런데.. 사시미에서 전혀 신선도를 느끼지 못했습니다. 그렇다고 숙성된 사시미도 아니었습니다. 그냥 마트에서 저렴히 구매해서 먹는 사시미 수준의 질 낮은 생선이었습니다.

“맛” 이 없습니다. 차라리 야시장, 해산물 식당에 들어가서 다양한 해산물을 즐기세요. 만약, 한국에서 한끼 식사에 2인이 40만원 정도의 값을 지불한다면, 신선하고 색다른 맛과 고급스러운 분위기를 만끽 할 수 있습니다. 하지만 이곳은, 아닙니다. 왜 이곳이 구글맵에서 4.0 이상의 높은 별을 유지하고 있는지 저는 도무지 이해 할 수 없습니다.

저는 먹는 것을 좋아하고, 또 요리하는 것을 좋아합니다. 수준 높은 레스토랑에서 요리를 즐기며, 또 그것을 토대로 요리를 만들어보기도 하는 편입니다. 그런데 이곳의.. 요리법은 전혀 값어치를 못하는 특별하지 않은 레시피의 요리들입니다. (특히, 디저트는 젤리도/푸딩도 아닌.. 토사물 같은 최악의 식감이었으며, 속에 든 과일도 반이상은 통조림 과일이었습니다 ;; )

시끄럽고, 서버들의 태도는 동네 분식집 수준. 전체 인테리어 소재를 우드로 통일하고, 조명 톤을 낮게하여, 편안한 무드를 추구하는 곳인듯 합니다. 하지만, 시끄럽게 고성방가하는 테이블에 대한 제지가 없었고 다른 테이블의 항의에 대해서 서버들의 태도는 아주 나빴습니다. (심지어 시끄러운 테이블 때문에, 좌석을 바꾸는 손님도 있었습니다. ) 추가사항에 대하여 서버들의 반응 속도가 느리고,서버들의 표정과 응대 태도가 또한, 아주 귀찮고 짜증스럽다는듯 .....

There are not many tables but there are rooms that you could book in advance. The lunch sets range from NT$1500 to Nt$2500+.

The staff will explain how the food were prepared with what ingredients and the presentation of the food are excellent.
