I tried a 23 course omakase January 2, 2020 and it was some of the freshest seafood you’ll find. It was the best Hokkaido uni ever!
Reservations were relatively easy to get and the place was very empty considering it was dinner the day after New Years.
Service was attentive and timely - the pace of each course and other small details were on par.
The food - of 23 courses, I’d say sashimi and seared fish were 5/5 because it’s all about the quality and seasoned rice. Both were fantastic with the perfect sear, the freshest ingredients, and balanced flavors.
But other dishes like clam miso, oysters, tamago, and homemade ice cream missed the mark. They were very bland with no flavoring and unbalanced flavor notes - too sour, no umami, nothing special.
19/23 courses were fabulous hence 4/5 stars. My suggestion is to stick to sashimi and definitely go all in on freshly charcoal seared toro and anything with snow crab or uni.
All in all I don’t mean to nitpick! It’s just there more you pay, the more each dish must hit the spot. Still a fantastic experience! Kudos...

跟朋友原本約另外一間餐廳吃飯, 可是他們沒開門所以隨機路過了筌壽司, 我帶著孩子推嬰兒車跟朋友三個人想入內, 一位臉很臭的服務生先是阻止我們入場擋在門口, 說要去看看可不可以 之後說, “我們這裡是套餐$1500 或 $2500 如果你們可以再入內, 而且我們是走預約制的”......
入內後, 立馬轉身看著我孩子說, 恩 那今天給你包廂房間因為有小孩很吵.....又再加碼說, 其實包廂要多付費今天因為你孩子所以....blah blah blah...你們餐點會晚點上, 因為我們走預約制, 所以blah blah blah........(是有多不想做我們的生意????)其實這樣的服務食物都還沒有點餐, 就已經先扣分
中間來了茶碗蒸, 來了三碗, 另外一位比較笑臉和善的服務生說, 這個多一個茶碗蒸就送給你孩子喔!過不久, 原本臉臭的服務生就回來說, 我們這個不小心多做了蒸蛋, 就多給你們啦, 平常是要加點blah blah blah要錢
我想說我有跟你多要任何東西嗎?????你不想要有小朋友在餐廳也可以說你們餐廳沒有辦法招待有小孩的客人, 一開始講清出就好...食物美好的氣氛都被臉臭服務員給毀了
