Was invited to lunch at top floor of SOGO. We arrived around 11:30am and didn’t have to wait long for sits as they do not take reservation. There’s wide range of selection of coffee and food. The menu does come with English translation as well. I was aware of how popular the soufflé is at this place. We got the rainbow rice squid rolls, mentaiko scallop pasta, and the seasonal Camellia Hojicha Soufflé as well as lattes and one of the creative coffees. The food portion is really nice for one and heathy. The rainbow rice was plated nicely and the veggies on the side were extremely fresh. The pasta was alright, it’s probably more suitable for people that are used to fusion pasta dishes in Asia. The soufflé was delicious and coffee incredible and creative. The waiters were pretty accommodating and allowed us to change seating arrangement after ordering the food. I see this place being a good...

Relaxing place inside the mall to chat with friends with no time limit, but very crowded during the weekend and may have to wait for a while before you can get a seat. Coffee was said to have won some sort of competition, but the the specialty coffee I ordered (costa rica) was just okay, but I've not tried other specialty coffees and perhaps other specialty coffee maybe better to my liking. Also the cappuccino was sort of bland. The desserts was more of eye-catching good to look at it but taste wise was just decent. Nice environment, creative desserts, good customer service, and good place to chat with...

Service – 1 Star: Everything had to be asked for. With all tables full, we had no idea how to get on the waitlist — and were told we couldn’t because I didn’t have a Taiwan phone number. Even basic things like milk and sugar for iced coffee weren’t provided unless requested. I don’t drink black coffee, so having to chase down cream or milk was frustrating.

Atmosphere - 1 star: Instantly ruined the moment a cockroach 🪳 ran from the wall straight toward our table.

Food: Average at best, and overpriced for what you get.

I’d choose Come Tree Coffee in the Wanhua district any day...
