Amazing cakes. The amount of care/effort that this place puts into their cakes hasn't changed in the last 4-5 years I've been there. Their cakes are pricier, but it's standard pricing for the quality, however flugel studio desserts are far better. They could up their drink game though but I don't come here for their drinks.
If this is your first time, get a coffee and just buy one slice of everything and then take one or two more slices to go.
Of special mention is the care they put into their cakes when you order them togo: I have never seen any cake shop go so far in prepping their cakes for transport as I have here. They package it extremely well so if you just pop the top off it becomes a small plate (not to mention the hard protective plastic bubble), then they make sure it doesn't shift too much with some sort of glue on the bottom of the wrapper, they also put wet toppings in separate small containers for you to add later. Other stores will just wrap it up only for you to find it in one mushy unrecognizable blob when you open it up at home.
Ps Get the blueberry tart. It's amazing. They pile a bunch of blueberries on it....
Read moreIt’s was the decor and biophilia interior deign attracted me to go in. From the front, in fact it’s quite easy to miss this place out bc the entrance is not that obvious for ppl to notice. I ordered 1 cup of earl grey tea. Well I wasn’t aware of the unit of this is a cup bc in Mando, it indicates 1 pot so I tot I would get more tea.
Taste wise, it has its own floral fragrance, but I was thinking, I could also get similar type from Louis with much lower price.
I cup of tea here costs me TWD $ 150 and in here I think they have time limitation thus I wouldn’t say it like very down to earth place.
However, they service quality is worth to be praised. the attitude from attendants is very friendly and hospitable.
You can tell they spent some effort on merchandising by accessories and the presentation.
To sum up, if you wanna hang out with your friends, this is a cute place to chat and stay but...
Read moreThis is my favorite dessert place. I've been going there for three years, and it feels like they keep improving. Their offerings are based on seasonality. Apple brandy pie, mont blanc tart, strawberry shortcake, strawberry cheesecake, matcha cheesecake, and of course their special drinks. My friend is partial to their strawberry shortcake. My parents, who are put off by overly sweet desserts, loved the strawberry cheesecake.
The best part about them is how they make fresh whipped cream. It does not stick to your mouth like the whipped cream they have at some bakeries (probably from stabilizers). Do not waste the whipped cream here. They make whipped cream the right way.
They do have an online reservation system, so definitely book a table because it's popular...
