It's not bad. This place really needs more carpeting because it's kind of a noisy place and there was nothing absorbing the sounds that was going everywhere. I think everyone was trying to talk at a reasonable volume, but I just felt like I could hear everything including all of the dishes clinking and the voices just kind of bouncing everywhere off the walls. I really suggest that this place get more carpeting or sound absorbers to help with the noise level.
The truffle pasta seems to be the star of the show, and I can really agree with everyone else. It's really rich in flavor! The pizza wasn't bad either. I think the crust should be crispier than it already is but they have really creative toppings and I'll just enjoy a pizza any day of the week.
I would strongly advise not to purchase the set meal, it's just a useless upcharge this restaurants uses to get you to charge more money. We got are main servings which was the pasta and the pizza and I think this place is good enough for those, but their soup of the day was kind of pretty bad. I think it would have been better if they served bread with the soup, but nothing like that was provided. And the salad was supposed to be a secret surprise. Well, the surprise was that it was a really small salad that didn't taste very good and I noticed all of the other people at the restaurants getting bigger and better looking servings of salads because they ordered directly from the menu instead of doing the set meal. Felt kind of ripped off, honestly.
The brownie at the end was really good though, even if it was small but then I noticed on their desert menu they had this sort of banana pudding pizza that seemed more intriguing to me but we didn't get a chance to order it because we ordered the set meal.
But, over all, it's a decent place. I think just focus on their pasta and pizzas and you'll be pretty satisfied. If you have an extra buck, the brownie is pretty good too! And I'm sure their salads are great! But we didn't get the chance to eat one of their good salads because it was coming from a set meal, so just...avoid the set meal entirely is my suggestion.
But there was food that I did really enjoy, so I think it's not...
Read moreThis unique restaurant serves Japanese-Italian fusion cuisine. Its mostly Italian foods (Pasta, Pizza, Lasagna, etc) but there are some menus that are using Japanese toppings. Overall, I love everything I tried here! Although it's definitely not authentic, but the foods are definitely delicious and portion is big enough even if its the R portion (for Pasta).
We tried the Carbonara, Margarita Pizza, and Original Chicken Wings. I loved every each of them. The Carbonara is definitely made with egg yolk and cheese, and they grated the cheese in front of us. They would ask us to stop whenever we think its enough. Don't be greedy though!
Margarita Pizza was warm and cheeeessyy. It's perfect with their homemade chili oil they served along with the pizza.
Original chicken wings was a new experience for me. Before they served the chicken wings, they had the chicken wings in a bucket and shaked it for a bit before serving it to the plate. For the taste, I somehow tasted Tabasco but not too overwhelming, but it may get a bit spicy too.
Last thing that I really loved was the service. Although the waiters were pretty busy, but they were very helpful. They helped changing our plates right after we finish the chicken wings and before eating the pasta. And they also constantly refill the water for us. We can also just pay on the seat, which is a pretty rare occurence in Taiwan.
[Always remember to reserve first! The place is normally quite full, so you have to wait for a little bit if you don't have...
Read moreToday is the first time I could get a chance to come here and enjoy a nice meal. I ordered Caesar Salad, Lasagna, and Tiramisu as my lunch choices. I highly recommend ordering that salad. Their Caesar salad is must-order because it also comes with a table-side preparation show. The waiter will push the dining cart to your table and make your Caesar salad fresh. The waiter quickly adds bread, bacon, walnuts, salad dressing, romaine lettuce and other ingredients into a big bowl. He stirs well, and then serves it on your plates. Just when I thought it was over, he took out cheese and shredded it on the spot over my plate. After adding pepper to taste, it was officially complete. The Caesar salad was really refreshing and really was a great way to start the meal. The vegetables were just so fresh and crisp. The taste of the dressing is also quite good. It is worth mentioning that they used my favorite romaine lettuce for the salad. Also, the lasagna bolognese is with handmade noodles, and it tastes quite delicious as the dish is limited and time consuming. If you are a lasagna lover, I would highly recommend you to order it because The restaurant offers a lot of other meals and you might be lost as to which to choose. I think it's a bit like Japanese style Italian food. It's...
