Premise: i have dairy and egg allergies. In sum: One hour wait time for a "business lunch": 9 choices with price ranges of 350-480 Came in by 12:00, got seated at 12:05. They informed us only after we wanted to order a la carte that only the business set were available. Of the business menu they had two choices of bowls, and four choices of pasta. All sets came with the same drink, daily soup and a small side. We adapted and put an order by 12:11 with one modification for my side which would have been swapped into a salad (not cook, or grilled or baked ). It took almost 40 mins before they could serve us the complimentary drinks, and a small salad bowl - 350TWD. At 13:22, almost 70 mins after we didn't receive our mains. How does a pasta (even whole grain in total takes 15mins" and a bowl of Raw vegetables take over an HR? The salad bowl was not baked, nor cooked, and with my allergies there was nothing that needed to be changed (if anything just taken out) which has absolutely any standpoint for such long wait for what was supposed to be a set meal. I understand that there were many tables but as a business lunch for such long hour it would need to be notifed.
Clearly something is wrong with their kitchen mise en place, workflow as the back end really needs work.
Ambience: At least you enjoy a bright light Instagram friendly (80% of clientele were female). They are definitely maximising the minimalist look: just take the picture with sun glasses water and faux marble table counter.
Food taste: nothing special, the soup was mild, the small salad sauce so so.
The staff did offer to not bill me after I left empty stomached after...

Little Tree Food (小小樹食) is an airy restaurant with giant windows and mirrors that let in heaps of sunshine into the space. Fresh herbs and plants line the walls and invites you to truly embrace the healthy and delicious 'flexitarian' dishes they offer.
Their use of fresh vegetables translates into delicious vegetarian dishes. For their weekday lunch special you get one starter, a soup or salad, and a main meal for 380nt.
We tried their Sichuan Spicy Dumplings with thousand year old egg, silken tofu, bok choy, pumpkin, green chili, and homemade chili oil. Super aromatic. While it's only two-bites it was the perfect amount to prepare you for the soup/salad and your main meal.
I got the salad while a friend ordered the mushroom soup. The salad used foghead ferns with a yoghurt base, which I wasn't used to (would have preferred soy sauce which is how this vegetable is usually prepared haha), but the mushroom soup was incredible.
For main dishes, I got the Avocado Macro Bowl - a heaping bowl of quinoa green rice, chickpeas, edamame, zucchini, and fresh micro greens topped with a spicy homemade sauce. (I couldn’t find any of the avocado... and it was 50nt extra which I only found out at the cashier. Besides this oversight, the bowl was still very delicious.)
Their eggplant and zucchini lasagna used a generous amount of mozzarella and cheddar and was a cheesy delight. Both ended up leaving us pretty full and feeling satisfied with our healthy...
Read moreThe food is really good. Taiwan doesn’t really have tater tots but theirs is 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 and the truffle sauce is really good too! The corn was really good too, just as I imagined it to be.
The pasta we ordered was just ok but the risotto was really goood! It was the spicy ma-pap risotto! Amazing! The Buddha bowl was really good too
Dessert was good too.
However I only gave it 2 stars cuz this is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever had in Taiwan LOL.
Here goes the story: At 8:30 a waitress came and told us it was time for last order and asked if we want any desserts. We said yes, but we’ll need to take some time to look at the menu. And she said okay sure she will come back at 8:40 to take the order.
We were ready a bit before 8:40, so we told them the 3 desserts we’d like to order.
At 8:45, the desserts were served We started to take pictures & eat, happily.
But by 8:53ish, a waitress came and said “9點關門哦”
We thought it’s just a kind reminder but we could still finish the desserts since it was just served a few mins ago.
At 8:59, the waitress came and said “我們九點關門就要離開喔” so we had to make our desserts To-go.
It’s fine if you need the customers to leave at 9:00 sharp. But you gotta tell them ahead of time. And not let them order 20 minutes before and expect them to...
