As you can probably tell from my photos, I’ve been here many many many times. At one point I was coming in weekly. To date, this is my favorite cafe near the NTU campus, for the following reasons:
It’s a quite mediocre cafe. When we arrived, the owner introduced their menu and highly recommended their baked chicken. She mentioned that many diners call in advance to order the chicken, as it takes around 45 minutes to prepare. However, I think it was overhyped. It doesn’t taste much different from the drumsticks you can get at Costco. Additionally, the teriyaki sauce was very sweet, so it’s not a dish I’d come back for.
We also ordered another of their signatures: a salmon puff and a plate of baked veggies covered with waterfall cheese. The salmon puff was literally one puff pastry with smoked salmon in it. While it wasn’t bad, the two ingredients didn’t really complement each other, as the flavors remained quite separate.
However, if you’re looking for an Aussie experience, my friend from Melbourne said their flat white is above average for Taipei!
Although they don’t require service charge and don’t have a time limit, I probably wouldn’t come back again as there are better options out there...
Read moreThe food is great, poached eggs are just right. The person running the food knows well about cheese and how to make them amazing with other ingredients on the plates. She also knows how to make latte art, as someone just dabbles in latte art , I asked her if I could watch her make coffee. She generously agreed and actually teach me tips and gave me feedback how to improve.
Didn’t try the steak part, but the brunch section and dessert section are def recommended.
I like this place a lot. Totally recommend...
