I would have given this a 5 star if it weren't for the way staff handle the seating arrangements. I love the vibe and the music of this place. But they need to improve with the way they manage the seats.
For the food, I ordered scones, quiche, and salad, because I was planning to stay quite a while. The scones and the spread was excellent. The scone was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, topping it off with the spread and honey was the perfect combination. I recommend enjoying this scone with their Taiwanese tea. As for the salad and quiche, it taste nothing special, but it's not that bad either.
When I first came to the cafe, the staff told me to sit wherever I wanted. So i chose to seat by the window. Then as I was studying, the staff told me that there is another woman who would have two guests, and so she asked me politely to move to the other seat. This was fine by me, except that the woman who later came ended up being alone and was using my previous seat for her bag. As time goes, she eventually left. Then there were 2 guests coming my way and took the 2 seats around where I was seated. I saw an empty space on the other side and I requested to move there, to make space for the new guests. The staff allowed me, but as I move my bags, the other staff told me that the place i wanted to move is better suited for the couple that just arrived. Which didn't make sense to me, since the seat I will move away from will provide larger space for them.
I understand that they might be overwhelmed with how many the guests were since it was on Sunday. Regardless, improvement of the way they manage the seats is...

Picnic Café is the real deal. The drinks I've tried are all wonderfully made, and the snacks are all great quality and very tasty! Prices are very reasonable.
The environment is extremely charming, with music that isn't too loud but still atmospheric. Plenty of lighting without being over bright. Lots of seats to choose from, including a cute sun room and bar seats. Air is nice and circulated so the smell of coffee doesn't get overpowered.
The honey cappuccino was delightfully tasty. The picnic butter cinnamon apple tea is a creative drink that is like a spiced apple cider, with plenty of grit from the apple and spuces. The pomelo tea was very fragrant and tasted fresh. Everything seems perfectly balanced!
Their scones and quiche are also great quality, down to the varied textures, great taste, and obviously quality ingredients. Highly recommend the bacon quiche! They have sets that come with side salads, which I really appreciate.
Picnic has become my favorite cafe, not through any gimmicks, but because all parts of the cafe experience were creatively thought out with care for the...
Read moreAbsolutely lovely late night cafe to work in! Open until 11pm, very friendly staff members, very cozy space with a beautiful tile wall bar and plenty of seating options from window bar stools to outdoor patio to cozy sofa and armchairs! Nice soothing music. The tea is nice but nothing notable, and although the food doesn't personally appeal to me, it sounds nice! It's a shame the single desserts all fall under the 150nt minimum food order though ~ never a fan of that rule, so thus far only gotten drinks but maybe one time I'll try! Cuz the chocolate lava cake with ice cream sounds incredible 😋
Update: the 180nt bacon quiche and salad is very good!! Decently filling with a big salad portion and the quiche itself is very tasty recommend ♡ And the mocha is really tasty too but I wish it had stronger...
