I’d never had vegan cuisine before this and I was really happy with my experience at this restaurant. It was pretty busy when we got there so if suggest making a reservation otherwise you’ll be waiting a while. We started with a couple of healthy drinks which were thick and flavorful and refreshing. Furthermore they were packed with food and felt rather heavy and filled me up quite a bit. After that we had two appetizers: the hummus falafel and the beet tartar. When the beet tartar come out I was like, “I don’t know.” But after one bite I was hooked! It was a taste explosion in my mouth and I so excited to try the next dish. The humans was just as you’d expect but the falafel was not prepared as usual. It looked baked perhaps but it was delicious and the quinoa salad was a perfect accompaniment along with the pita bread. We also got a burrito but by that point I was getting full and we got it to go. To finish it off we got two cognition balls with lions mane mushrooms in them and the no bake carrot cake. Both of them tasted fresh and tasty and just sweet enough to satisfy that craving even though the texture is different from regular sweets. They were denser and thick but the flavor was pleasant. I was really happy with my visit to this restaurant and for anyone looking to try vegan food you should definitely try...
Read moreFood quality is there but the selection is a hit or miss. Not every dish or choice will be equally tasty. I do respect their seasonal and organic ingredients they make for the food. (respect on their craft)
I tried three different dishes on this specific day and only the coconut yogurt dish stood out. The yogurt needed some work, it wasn’t even cultured! Just coconut cream with fruit and “rawnola” but hey they tried. I still thought it worked, but maybe don’t title it yogurt if it’s not yogurt.
The biggest suggestion I’d make is: the management needs improvement. I’ve been there a number of times before and the servers do not last for a long time there. There is one specific server (written in August 11, 2022) with glasses and “chun-li” hair (street fighter 2 character) that has the attitude of a spoiled “plant”. 😂 The specific situation was I was ready to pay at the front desk and waited patiently for some time and this specific server rung up the delivery customer first. Apparently lines don’t exist here.
The transitive verb definition of plant/plants is: 1a) to put or set in the ground for GROWTH. “To plant seeds”
So based on the performance of a few select bad planted servers, they have some room for improvement and major GROWTH for...
Read moreI'm not that hard to please in many ways - food can be average and I'll still be happy enough, but if there's just one that thing that jars with me, then it can ruin the 'complete experience'. I'm more than happy to say in this instance, that the 'complete experience' was fantastic from start to finish. Modern, light decor, well laid out, easy to understand menus and polite and friendly staff. Apart from the quality of the food, this is always something that I look out for in a restaurant.
Onto the service & food; we were immediately seated and our orders taken without any fuss. The food arrived quickly. Good! So, the meal are all vegetarian, really freshly made, well presented and very delicious, without being overly salty. I went for a pumpkin soup. A bit pricey for taiwan, but it was so full of flavour it didn't matter. I then had the vegetarian lentil burger, with seared pineapple and salad. Wow! So tasty, while subtle in flavour. My wife had a sort of Korean style dish that was rice with a sort of Malaysian tofu and various vegetables around the edges. Once again so fresh tasting and full of taste.
All in all absolutely nothing's by to complain about and fully...
