Sugar man cafe — Restaurant in Da'an District

I had a ginger hot chocolate milk for 170 ntd. My friend had a hot chocolate milk con brown sugar for 150 NTD so for sure this place isn't cheap. The minimum order here is one drink. A simple cola is 100 ntd. Positive is the setting looks cosy. Negative...the staf should really learn to smile. They looked very grumpy. There's a small rainbow flag next to the front door so I assume this is a gay friendly place and considering I saw many guys who look gay or where even watching gay apps lol I'm sure it's frequented by gay guys. My friends and I call this the "Gay Café" (in a lighthearted and affectionate way) due to a particularly vivid poster on the wall of the loo. The atmosphere reminds me of New York's Greenwich Village - it's unmistakably bohemian and counterculture. I found the service to be pleasant and competent, and the wait staff suitably imbued with that confidently individualistic, artsy attitude that can come off as either annoyingly disconcerted or endearingly aloof, depending on one's state of mind at the time (to me it was charming, mostly because the service didn't suffer for it). Espresso-based beverages have been consistently good over multiple visits. The pub food is well prepared and satisfying. I don't care for the presence of the smoking room, but that's the only reason why I gave Sugar man Cafe four stars...

It is suitable for ppl who wanna talk. I personally do not recommend there as a reading coffee room because the music from the shop was pretty loudly to me. Besides, the shop doesn't really think service as an important factor that could make consumers that may feel good. For example, just a little reaction when I was asking wifi. Basically, the staff doesn't like to answer my questions from their mouths....they just used finger to point out something that show already on the wall....Drinks.
