I had high hopes for this popular restaurant: there were 10+ people lined up outside waiting for takeout lunches, and every table was filled inside for dine-in. They seated me at a round table with 2 other parties.
I ordered 干炒牛河 (beef chow fun, $120) and a half-order of 三寶拼盤 (3-types BBQ platter, $120). Both disappointed, but I suppose if you’re just looking to get full, it’s decent value.
干炒牛河 (beef chow fun, $120): absolutely zero wokhei, not even a slight char on the noodles and meat, and under flavored to the point that I wanted to mix in some soy sauce. I left my noodles about one-third uneaten, but I ate all the meat (because I’m a good Asian boy). To their credit, they were generous with the number of beef slices.
三寶拼盤 (3-types BBQ platter, $120): today, I got some roasted duck, charsiu, and roasted chicken. None of the poultry skins were crispy, and the whole thing was room temp (not even warm), nor were they cut cleanly through: you can see my photo, where I picked one piece and they all came along with. It was also covered in sauce that is not the typical Cantonese BBQ au jus but rather a thicker soy sauce derivative. It helped cover up the fact that the charsiu was relatively tasteless.
I’m being generous with my three-star rating on the food, and only because the...
Read moreI've been here a couple of times for takeout and was unpleasantly surprised with how terrible the service is when I dined in the other day. Came with 2 other friends and ordered all our food at once. I guess 3 orders were too much to handle because 5 minutes pass and one of my friends' meals arrive. Another 5 goes by, and both my friends' orders are done. I sit there waiting patiently for 20 minutes, and the movement in the kitchen starts to slow as my friends finish engulfing their meals. I get curious and ask one of the employees, suggesting that they may have lost my order, and they respond rudely with a "food takes time to prepare" and went on with doing whatever trivial task they were doing. It was only when I went to the front desk that the same worker I asked realized their mistake and came to me saying, "The food is coming now.", making me wait another 5 or so minutes until my food finally arrived. I can't believe how much of a hassle and how unresponsive the service at the place is despite...

I been coming to this restaurant since i was study in taiwan for my master degree, that time we want to eat good food and we came down to this restaurant with friends.
I ordered the San Bao Fan (3 meat dish with rice), I like the sauce a lot until i requested for more with small bowl then i poured all into my rice. You can exchange the rice with Noodles also, but i am much to a rice person.
Service is quick and not that friendly, but luckily they have english menu so you should be easy to order. Price wise, it tend to medium pricing (around 90 NTD/dish) but you can drink free hot tea on the table.
You will see a lot of student eating here, because they give a lot of rice and you will feel full after exiting.
Maybe my review is bias, because i tend to eat this food during my study in Taiwan but I like this a lot and i will give 5...
