Mala Hot Pot — Restaurant in Da'an District

The hotpot restaurant on the 4th floor is a nice place for group dining! The pot has two section, typical including spicy soup and regular vegetable soup. Customers can thus taste the pot in different flavor and soup base. Customers have to order online through QR code on the table, and the menu can be seen on the website. Their meat is freshly cut and served quickly, whereas other ingredients and stuff are delivered by a robot. Beverage, fruit and dessert are in a self-servce bar and free for all sit-in customers. Their meat is truly great. Seafood and various items can be ordered as well. Ice cream is so delicious! One can eat to his heart's content within the two hours of dining. The pork and goat meat were not so fresh and actually had some annoying smell for sensitive taste as mine. However, the atmosphere is well decorated in a traditional decorations with the red yeallow lanterns. There are a wide variety of fruits and high-quality ice cream from Haagen-Dazs and another brand. Many beverage options to choose including wine and juice and soft drinks. The seafood is the point that attracted me to this restaurant. For the squid and shrimp, the taste are fine and satisfying. But the sentinal crabs are not fresh whatsoever, they are frozen ones so the meats are not fresh and not sweet at all. Best hotpot in town. I went to this same chain restaurant 4 times in a period of 4 days.

I chose the second-tier buffet lunch set (NT$799/898, weekdays/weekends & PH). For that, you get unlimited Australian premium wagyu beef and beef short rib, premium pork, and premium shrimps. You can also order from the classic menu which is diverse.

My favourites are the braised items (pork intestines, beef tendon, beef tripe) and duck's blood. Also good are the classic shrimp (better than premium shrimp in my opinion), and clams as they are fresh.
