大埔鐵板燒 恆春旗艦店 — Restaurant in Hengchun

I came here with a group of four around 4:30 PM on a Tuesday and there was only one other group there.

Because the store was pretty empty we were served very quickly.

My friend and I ordered a set meal for two that was originally advertised as 560 NT but because we ordered the spare ribs as a dish they added 20 more NT.

The meal came with unlimited sautéed cabbage and bean sprouts. The cabbage was better than the bean sprouts.

There was also unlimited soup you could get from the back. The soup was a little bit sketchy to be honest. It was a huge pot without a lid just sitting in the back with some bugs crawling around next to the pot. I did have to try it though and the flavor wasn’t too bad.

You also get one bowl of rice which was a little bit small.

For our items in the set we got spare ribs which were very good. Flavor was great and the onions it came with were perfect. We also got a thin salmon filet which had good flavor but a bit overdone and dry. Finally, we got a mushroom and scallop stir fry. The mushrooms were nice but the scallops were a bit chewy.

All in all, not the best teppenyaki I have had in Taiwan but got...

This is one of the best teppanyaki in HENG CHUN. The service is excellent . Witness one customer did a wrong order and they change the entire food for them. When you finish your fried cabbage , they will ask if you want refill and basically they fry for you again! A must visit if you are in HCT.
