This place in my opinion, by far serves the best giant fried chicken in Taiwan. I've tried the original Hot Star in Ximending and J&G in Taichung, and Angel just blows them out of the water. Really thin yet incredibly crispy coating (they use a thinner tempura-style batter), flavorful seasoning (choose between pepper salt and chili powder), and above all, a huge thick cut of white meat that's just succulently moist with a slightly sweet marinade in every bite.
They also have some other items like king oyster mushrooms (huge portions!), sweet potato balls, and popcorn chicken. They only do takeaways, but then you can just walk across the street to hang out by the Da Dong Arts Center and enjoy the best of Taiwanese street food culture.
