Bagel Bagel — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

When people ask me where to get bagels in Kaohsiung I always mention this place, but it comes with a warning about a big problem this place has: extremely slow take-out service.

Every time I come here I order the same thing: one toasted bagel with cream cheese to go. I've waited 20m when the place was packed. I've waited 15m when I was the only customer. All in all, I've never waited less than 10m for my order, no matter how busy or empty the place was. Of all these times, I've never received any warning or explanation for the delay. If the long wait is inevitable, the waiters should at least warn the customers before taking their money.

Despite this problem, I'll keep coming back for the quality bagels, a rare find in Kaohsiung. I'm hoping this review reaches someone who can fix the slow service issue, so I can finally recommend this place to other people without adding any caveats.

Good bagels of course. Got my favorite smoked salmon. Pumpkin seafood pasta done well. Seafood fresh. Pasta cooked well. Sauce tasty. Brownie ice cream dessert is also very good. Somehow you aren't afforded to order just a bagel and cream cheese. You MUST order it with something like avocado and shrimp as well, even though they do have cream cheese and bagels? F this place.
