Hi-Lai Harbour Hanshin Arena Branch — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

We came for the afternoon tea (14:30-1630) because every Tuesday my credit card gives a 3+1 free promo. We chose the Arena branch because there are some food items that are served here that are only served for lunch or dinner at Grand Hanlai such as the souffle hotcake, the roast ham and the canele.

We were seated very comfortably in table for six, far from the buffet - they pre warned us because we only booked today.

Food and service were excellent and the usual lavish spread was there. Carving of roast ham and beef, sushi, sashimi, Hongkong roast chicken. Hagen das and Benetti ice cream (14 or 16 flavors to choose from).

Busy and crowded restaurant especially on weekends. It’s one of the best buffet restaurant with a reasonable price setting. If you search other establishments you will see a much higher price range. Wide choice of food from western to Asian cuisines. Stir fry, beef and pork roasts, fried goods, stews, pastas,soups. Just to name a few. Japanese cuisine choices were amazing. Well this place does not surprise me at all, the dishes just seem normal to me nothing too special or unique. Lunch time dinning hours is between 11:30-14:00, you can see the huge amount of mankind rushing and lining to get the food which already lost my appetite. They do have around 100-200 dishes but it quite normal to me, thus I would rather to spend those amount of money to either find a nice and cozy restaurant, or even get some street foods then enjoy a cup of...
