Haidilao Kaohsiung Arena Branch — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

I decided to give haidilao a try and let just say it fell short of my expectations. First and foremost, I need to compliment the staff, they were absolutely amazing and attentive and soooo professional and friendly. 10/10 for them. Even at late hours of the night they had these authentic smiles on their faces.

Now comes the food part. Soup base were delicious but I didn’t understand why there was an oily layer for tomato base soup???? Everything was Overly priced and portions were so small and everything is chargeable for a price. We ordered full portion meat and what came on the table was so hilarious . The meat quality, well let just say I have had better at other restaurants even buffet style had better quality. I understand that this all comes from high up on the corporate chain but wow, I was disappointed. I guess they try to sell a gimmicky show and focusing less on overall...

When you're waiting for a table you can always help yourself to the massage chair and relax while you wait. A waitress will even come by and offer you a cold drink while you wait. There's even a children's play area for kids to play in while they wait for a table.

Lot of selection in terms of food. You can order noodles and someone will come and stretch and dance with the noodles at your table.

There is even a Sichuan Opera dance while you eat and see the performer change masks effortlessly.

Before or after your meal you can always help yourself to Hagen Daas ice cream at the entrance of the restaurant.

Great time and great food. Would come again...

I had a wonderful dining experience at Hai Di Lao with my family today. Our server, Eric, was incredibly attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout our meal. The food was delicious, with fresh and flavorful ingredients, and the variety was impressive. We also enjoyed the entertaining performances, especially the Sichuan Opera face-changing act, which was truly amazing and mesmerizing.
