EDIT TO RESPOND TO THE OWNER: It very clearly states in my review that I made it to the restaurant and then experienced terrible customer service. Please read the review and respond to the concerns/complaints that are stated next time. At this point I’m just happy you’re showing your future potential customers how little you care about your actual customers.
INITIAL REVIEW: Went here a few days ago with some friends from Taiwan. They wanted to show us a nice restaurant with a view. The view was great and you could even rent a yacht to eat dinner on! I had high expectations for this place but I was let down.
My friend called multiple times to make a reservation before we arrived and no one answered so we assumed they were busy, however the restaurant was very empty when we arrived. Only 3 groups (there were about 3 visible staff members too). When we were initially talking to the host, the phone rang and after 2 rings he answered. When asked why he didn’t answer our call he stated he must have been busy, but that seemed like a lie since, again, it was dead and there were plenty of staff to take care of the current guests.
We decided to let it go and still have a good time. My friend asked if they had vodka, but one that wasn’t from Russia. The waiter stated they only had Russian vodka because it was cheap to get. At a high end place that provides dinner on a yacht I would expect them to have a variety of alcohol and at least a couple top shelf brands. He continued to say if we wanted Vodka that wasn’t from Russia we could go to a different bar.
I was shocked! What restaurant wants their guests to leave over something like that? He should have apologized and suggested a different spirit or different drink. Some sort of compromise. But then he AGAIN suggested for us to go to another bar if it was such an issue.
After all of this we decided to leave. They clearly didn’t want our business. If you want a nice view and rude wait staff who constantly suggest you leave. Sauga is the place for you!
We went to Bottoms Up after, highly recommend! They had wonderful customer service and plenty of different spirits to choose from. Ordered a bunch of food which was also good. Take your business there...
Read moreThis is a scenic restaurant situated in Kaohsiung Harbor, spread across two levels. The ground floor features indoor seating with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, while the upper level offers an open-air terrace. The service staff are warm and efficient.
We ordered a Deluxe Fried Platter along with four different specialty cocktails, with the total bill coming to approximately 2300 NTD. The platter had moderate seasoning and the quantity was fair for the price. As for the drinks, the bartender was accommodating and could tailor each cocktail to suit personal tastes. The interaction was pleasant, and the bartender's attitude was both friendly and professional.
If you're looking to enjoy the stunning harbor view, this spot is worth a visit. However, it’s better to go on a weekday evening—especially if you prefer indoor comfort—as the rooftop area can get uncomfortably hot during the daytime due to direct sunlight. The air-conditioned interior provides a more pleasant environment, and you can still enjoy the view through the large glass windows. Since seating is limited and often fills up fast, making a reservation in advance is highly...
Read moreEDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: as the owner has replied saying I did not find the restaurant despite my review clearly stating that I did. I would like to point out they care so little about the quality of their business/service that they did not even take the time to read a negative review to attempt to make their service better.
Wow this place is surprisingly bad. The service was maybe the worst I’ve ever had and I can’t understand why. I went on a Friday night expecting it to be busy but there were only three tables. I should have taken this as a sign to leave but decided to stay because the restaurant looked very nice. There was one woman server and one guy with ear rings in both ears. This guy was just incredibly rude the entire service. I will never return to this place. There are other waterfront restaurants that don’t treat their customers (who are paying $1,000+ for a meal) like trash. This place is low class despite its appearance. I feel bad for anyone coming here thinking they are at an elegant...
