霧都鹿嶼 Misty Isle（咖啡、茶館、料理） — Restaurant in New Taipei

Update: finally returned to Taiwan after more than 3 years and the owner recognized more, even with a mask on. I’m truly touched. She’s a gem in. This neighborhood and I’m so happy she was able to make it through the pandemic. Her espresso drinks are still the best!

Her hours have changed and she’s not open in the mornings. She says Beitou residents tend to stop in after lunch and in the evenings! So different from the US where coffee shops open very early

I walked by one day and noticed this new coffee shop and decided to try out their latte. I normally go to another place is across the street but the coffee at Fiery is hands-down the best option in the neighborhood.

The espresso drinks are expertly crafted by the owner who is surprisingly only 25 years old! She also bakes the pastries offered at the shop.

Normally at an average coffee shop I have to ask for my espresso drink to be made "not too hot". What most people don’t understand is that when your milk is scalded it turns bitter. I knew I found my spot when I placed my order and the owner said, “oh I never heat up the coffee too much because it ruins the flavor”.

This coffee shop also offers and iced drip coffee. Most places use hot water to extract the beans. And iced water drip coffee creates a drink that is less better, with less caffeine, and easier on the stomach.

This place is a must try for people serious about coffee.

This narrow two-story coffee shop is a lovely place to camp out for a rainy afternoon. Both their house-roasted small batch coffees and teas can be purchased to brew at home. The owner makes a daily selection of sweets, from basque cheesecakes to...

無限再訪，和老闆娘聊天，覺得她人很真也直率，每次隨意點的餐點好吃又平價，我會常來的🥰 在北投不小心發現的好店，雖然評價兩極，但踏進店內就能感受到佈置的用心與舒適，餐點更是新鮮豐盛，份量與調味上都是水準之上。在現場能感受並體諒店長的忙碌和著急，但店員妹妹們也是辛苦了。 培根火腿鹹派，鹹派+水果+沙拉，$130。 鹹派是現烤加熱，派皮酥脆，餡料是綿密的馬鈴薯和培根，份量不大，但讓我非常幸福，在心目中獲得本店最愛第一。沙拉可以選和風或胡麻醬，選了和風醬好清爽，水果是葡萄還有小番茄。 呱呱朝日，烤地瓜+水果+沙拉+鮮奶蛋+優格+舒肥雞胸肉，$220。 呱呱的水果多了芭樂，好的碳水化合物與優質蛋白質滿滿，調味上也不會過油過鹹，優格內的配料有層次，樣樣都感受得到用心。 沁檸美式，就是檸檬咖啡，$110，這反而有點不合口味，店家放了兩片檸檬，皮味的苦澀也滲在咖啡中了。 這次初訪還有帶了大蒜乳酪包、冰火菠蘿油、馬德蓮、磅蛋糕以及Oreo乳酪蛋糕切片回去給家人分享，店家餐點真的很多樣化。但我最喜歡咖啡廳有提供鹹食，還會想...
