Danshui Old Street is one of the must-visit attractions in New Taipei City. This historic street is filled with traditional architecture and cultural heritage, making it an excellent place to explore Taiwan's rich history and culture.

The street is renowned for its delicious street food, with local specialties such as iron eggs and fish balls being among the most popular choices. There are also many traditional restaurants serving authentic Taiwanese cuisine that will tantalize your taste buds.

Danshui Old Street is a picturesque location with beautiful scenery, such as the historic Fisherman's Wharf, providing the perfect backdrop for your photos. The area is also home to several temples, including the famous Danshui Longshan Temple, which dates back over two hundred years.

In addition to the cultural and culinary delights, Danshui Old Street is also a popular shopping destination, with an abundance of stores selling local handicrafts, souvenirs, and clothing. It is a fantastic place to purchase unique and authentic items to bring home as a memory of your trip to Taiwan.

Overall, I highly recommend visiting Danshui Old Street for a memorable experience filled with cultural exploration, mouth-watering cuisine, and fantastic shopping opportunities. It is truly a must-visit destination for anyone exploring New...

Tamsui Old Street (淡水老街) is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Taipei. Nestled along the Tamsui River, this lively street offers a delightful blend of traditional Taiwanese snacks, unique shops, and historic charm.

The Food: Tamsui Old Street is a food lover’s paradise. From iconic local snacks like iron eggs (鐵蛋), A-Gei (阿給), and grilled squid to indulgent ice cream cones and fresh seafood, there’s something for everyone. The variety and freshness of the offerings are fantastic, and the prices are reasonable too.

The Shopping: Beyond the food, the street is lined with quirky shops selling souvenirs, handmade crafts, and traditional goods. It’s the perfect place to pick up gifts or mementos of your trip.

The Atmosphere: The riverside setting adds to the charm of Tamsui Old Street. You can enjoy scenic views of the Tamsui River, especially around sunset, which gives the area a magical feel. The lively yet laid-back vibe makes it an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.

The History: Tamsui Old Street is rich in history, with colonial influences visible in nearby landmarks like Fort San Domingo and the Former British Consulate Residence. It’s an ideal starting point for exploring...

The pedestrian street itself is rather short just two short blocks, however when visiting the area, the shoreline more than triples the walking and shopping area. In addition to this area, one should also go northeast and across the street from the station for more street vendors and this other area would then double the food options available. In this area, one can find the more traditional foods found all over Taipei. As for Tamsui Old Street and the shoreline, the foods are primarily seafood and deep fried. There are also multiple game options of darts and airsoft. The shops offer touristy craft goods and other items. Overall, if one includes relaxing in the park, this area is a nice mix of food, goods and gaming and worth a daytime visit if one would include a ferry ride across the river to the Bali ferry wharf, where one can continue their adventure at Old Bali Street, which has more of a country...

Would not want to comeback here. Firstly encounter a rude Karen cleaner. Which I nicely ask if I can toss my little wrap from the ice cream I just finish. She rely me to loudly can’t you see the trash can right there! I didn’t even know the thing she pointed was a trash bin. She didn’t need to be so rude. She was working near the ice cream shop on the waterfront road. I be came an angry tourist. Worst experience ever! Than I have to encounter a shop that sold us dead taiwan oysters. Wasted $150nt for 7 oyster. I knew it was bad with smell I dunno why I even put that in my mouth. I spitting that immediately! Went to washroom and cleanse my mouth out and left didn’t even want to talk to the workers. Don’t even care about the lose of $150nt. All was not bad my mom brought something she wants to give to her grandchild at a cute shop that also sells ice creams.
