Good place to go for huge portions of Korean food. We ordered the Sweet and Spicy Whole Chicken ($320 NT) and the Bulgolgi Beef Stew ($500 for a 2 person-sized pot). One of the dishes came with a small bottle of either Coke or Sprite.
They served a cold appetizer which consisted of 甜不辣/tempura, marinated bamboo, tiny marinated quail eggs, and white radish soaked in vinegar.
They do serve the bulgolgi stew on those portable burners and it does take up a significant amount of space on the two-person tables. I wish I could show the size of the 2-person pot with something for scale because it was ENORMOUS. We had to ask the main waitress if they got out order right since we ordered the $500 option and she said, “yea, most of our customers take the soup to go after”. The soup was extremely rich and filled with lots of ingredients, including carrots, glass noodles, 3 types of mushrooms, cabbage, and more. My friend and I barely finished 1/3 of the entire soup and decided to take it home for the next day’s lunch.
The sweet and spicy whole chicken was good, but would definitely recommend people to pay the price difference for the wings and drumsticks ($350 NT) rather than the whole chicken, as the whole chicken has questionable parts of the chicken you wouldn’t usually eat.
Overall, the food was great and the portions were huge. I would definitely recommend this place to people and will be back...
Read moreFun Pot is a great, authentic Korean BBQ restaurant. We went there with a group of six and all really enjoyed it. Good service, great quality meat and side dishes. We all left full and satisfied. I have followed this restaurant owner over the years and always enjoyed the food he serves. Having lived in Korea for several years myself I can say that Fun Pot is real quality Korean food. This place is an asset for Dapinglin. Keep it up boss! We will be back again and...
